One of the world’s biggest OTT companies Netflix has announced that they are officially releasing a mobile game for one of their most successful series Squid Game called “Squid Game: Unleashed”.
Squid Game is a South Korean Thriller Drama. Although it looks like a pretty normal web series. It is not advised to be seen by kids due to its 18+ ratings. The series involved extreme amounts of violence, sex, nudity, language, substances, and suicide material.
The main plot of this series is that exactly “456 people” have been recruited to play this game, and if they are unable to complete any of the tasks they have been given they will lose their lives.
Released back in September 2021 on Netflix, the show instantly became famous all around the world in a matter of few days.
“Squid Game: Unleashed” Gameplay
Squid Game: Unleashed is set to be a multi-player online game that will be an exact reincarnation of the original web series. Developed by Boss Fight, which is a Netflix Game Studio, this time only 32 players will be participating in this epic showdown to compete and succeed in all of the challenges from the series along with some new ones, and if they lose their in-game characters will die before they simply just to play again to try their skills in any other game in the world.
As we can see in the trailer by Netflix, All of the players will be tagged with numbers just like they did in the Netflix original series released back in 2021.
List of all the Levels of Squid Game: Unleashed:
This is the entire list of all the levels that were a part of the original Netflix series. Squid Game: Unleashed will have pretty much all of these levels, and Netflix has also announced a few new games will also added.
1. The Recruiting Game “Ddakji”
The first game that was a part of this series was a classic Korean game of “Ddakji” where you have to throw a paper card on top of your opponent’s card to flip it over. If it flips over, you win.
2. Red Light, Green Light
Once you have been selected for the actual game you are then taken to an unknown location where have to outlast 456 other participants starting with the “Red Light, Green Light”. It is a game where all the participants have to cross the pink line in front of you.
But you have to also watch out for “Young-hee” a doll that keeps an eye on everyone, you can move while it’s turned around but if it detects any movement from your body it will instantly shoot you to death. You can literally do nothing except to not create movement while is looking at you because her eyes have motion detectors.
3. Sugar Honeycombs
Sugar Honeycombs is the most famous and difficult game in the entire series as you have to just extract one of the four shapes “circle, a triangle, a star, or an umbrella”. But the only problem is that Sugar Honeycombs are extremely fragile and you just a needle to extract them.
If you break the shape, you will be disqualified from the game. Which simply means that you have to take a bullet and then die.
4. Tug of War
Tug of War is another very famous and simple game where players are divided into two teams and they have to pull the other in order to win, Simple right?
But the only problem is that this game is being played on a bridge situated way up in the air, the only way to will is to pull off all the members of the other team so they can feel down and die, while your team remains on the bridge.
5. Marbles
In this next game of marbles, all the players are divided into 2 parts and you have to find your way to win all the marbles from your opposing players.
If are fail to win, you will be eliminated from the game as they will shoot you.
6. Hopscotch
In this round, players have to play one of the most famous games of the world “Hopscotch” but now they hanging feet above the ground in the air. There are two parallel lines of glass blocks, some of them are tempered glass while the other ones are fragile.
You have to make your way to the next side of the bridge before the timer runs out, and if you place your feet on the wrong glass you will instantly fall down once the glass gets broken.
7. Squid Game
The last face-off apart is the “Squid Game: Unleashed” challenge is a Squid Game where you have a matchup between two teams of one or more players.
Attacker: The attacker starts from the left circle and has to cross the bridge on one foot then he gets the advantage of walking on both feet and then has to enter back again from the left circle which is the gate, and has to go back into the circle that is intersecting the triangle in order to win the game.
Defender: The role of the defender is to stop the attacker on all costs from entering back. He is allowed to push or shove the attacker to eliminate him from his role as the attacker. Once any other part of the besides his already been used foot on the ground touches the ground he will be eliminated.
The game can only be won if you’re playing as an attacker, you either the role of an attacker by winning the toss before the game or switch roles with the attacker by eliminating him from his role.
When will “Squid Game: Unleashed” is going to be released?
Netflix has not yet announced any release for “Squid Game: Unleashed” but the game is expected to be released on December 26th, 2024 along with Season 2 of the Squid Game.

My Thoughts
Squid Games is without a doubt one of the best series that Netflix has ever released, and people have just loved simply everything about it. Now with Squid Game: Season 2 just around the corner, Netflix has already started hyping up the audience with the announcement of this exclusive game where players and experience that whole Squid Game by themself.
