Tech giant Apple is reportedly near to closing its deal With OpenAI to Put ChatGPT on iOS. This deal will enable ChatGPT for now and various other AI models could also be integrated into the Apple devices.

If the plans of putting ChatGPT on iOS go through as the reports state then we can expect ChatGPT to arrive in iOS 18 which may arrive somewhere in Sept 2024 seeing the recent iOS update release dates.
Apple is also discussing integrating Gemini AI into its device but there is no official statement from either Apple or Alphabet “Google’s parent company” regarding the potential integration of the Gemini.
Reports are also speculating that Safari will also get an update for AI-assisted browsing, while it’s unclear whether Siri will be shut down completely or it will have a revamp to stand along with the all-new latest AI assistants.
Apple could be revealing more on these upcoming updates in the upcoming “Worldwide Developers Conference 2024”.
Apple has been quiet about its AI models and there is no official statement from Silicon Valley. But one thing that we know for sure is that Apple is in the race for AI, I think that they are planning to go for the last mover advantage something they just did recently when they launched “Apple Vision Pro”

Tim Cook has also mentioned the fact that their company is working on generative AI features that will make their way to customers “later this year.”
If we consider this statement then the remorse for the iOS 18 update to bring AI to iOS is true and it’s just a matter of time before Apple officially announces the upcoming update. That aligns with reporting from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, who said recently that iOS 18 could be the “biggest” update in the operating system’s history.
“The two sides have been finalizing terms for a pact to use ChatGPT features in Apple’s iOS 18, the next iPhone operating system, said the people, who asked not to be identified because the situation is private.”

Conclusion:
All I can say for now is that it’s not sure if Apple is finally bringing Open AI to its device or if they are planning to launch its own AI model exclusively for its ecosystem.
