The Weeknd is coming out again to complete his trilogy which he started in 2020, following up to 2020’s ‘After Hours’ and 2022’s ‘Dawn FM’.
Over the last four years, The Weeknd has produced some of the best music of this century. He has been a top artist worldwide following the success of his first two albums. The Weeknd also headlined the Super Bowl halftime show back in 2021 at Raymond James Stadium.
When Will The Weeknd’s final album in this trilogy be released?
The Weeknd has yet to confirm the dates for the release of his sixth studio album, but he has confirmed that it will be out sometime in 2024.
On Jan. 7, while teasing the release of his upcoming album on Instagram, The Weeknd shared the album covers of 2020’s After Hours and 2022’s Dawn FM, followed by a third, black slide with a question mark in the middle.
The Weeknd captioned his Instagram post with the number “3.” This indicates the fact that The Weeknd’s next album will be the final installment in his latest music trilogy.
In May 2023, in an interview with W Magazine, The Weeknd said that his next studio album will be his final one as The Weeknd.
“It’s getting to a place and a time where I’m getting ready to close the Weeknd chapter. I’ll still make music, maybe as Abel, maybe as The Weeknd. But I still want to kill The Weeknd. And I will. Eventually. I’m definitely trying to shed that skin and be reborn”

I’m finishing the third part of this of this saga, of this trilogy. The name of it will come out soon, but it’s not called what some fans think it’s called… what they think it’s called is actually a song on the album, but that’s not what the actual album is called.
