WWE Backlash 2024: France is an upcoming WWE premium live event. The event will be held at Lyon Metropolis, France inside LDLC Arena.
The event is set to take place on “Saturday, May 4, 2024”. WWE has some huge PPVs lined up to take place outside the United States, and WWE Backlash 2024: France is just the first in line. You can watch the show Live on the WWE Network.

Damian Priest (c) vs. Jey Uso – World Heavyweight Championship at WWE Backlash 2024: France:
On Night 2 of WrestleMania XL Damian Priest cashed in his Money in the Bank contract and beat Drew McIntyre after minutes after his biggest victory.
On a recent episode of SmackDown, a Fatal 4-Way match was held to determine the number one contender for the Priest’s World Heavyweight Championship. CM Punk once again interfered in the match and Uso capitalized by hitting The Scottish Warrior with a Superkick and Spear to win the match and become the No.1 Contender for the World Heavyweight Title.
Now, both of them are set to collide at the WWE Backlash 2024: France, will Jey be able to beat Priest for his first-ever World Heavyweight Championship, or will Damian’s reign of terror continue?
My Prediction: Damian Priest

Bayley (c) vs. Naomi vs. Tiffany Stratton (Triple Threat Match) – WWE Women’s Championship
After emerging victorious on WrestleMania XL, It’s time to find a contender for the WWE Women’s Champion Bayley.
On a recent episode of WWE SmackDown Bayley was in the ring when Tiffany Stratton just walked down to the ring and accepted her challenge for a match for the WWE Women’s Championship. Bayley then said that she was actually talking about giving an opportunity to Naomi and not her. The self-proclaimed center of the universe then started insulting Naiomi, prompting her to come to the ring. Eventually, Naomi and Tiffany Straton both faced each other in a match for a chance to become the number one contender. The match resulted in Naomi as the winner.
The match for the WWE Women’s Championship took place on the very next episode of SmackDown, but it ended in a no-contest after Stratton attacked both Bayley and Naomi. Nick Aldis made another match for the next episode of SmackDown to determine the challenger for the Bayley’s championship at WWE Backlash France, which also ended in a no-contest after external interference from Nia Jax
On the following episode of SmackDown, the match between Stratton and Naomi took place for the number one contender spot. Unfortunately, this match also ended in another no-contest after external interference from Nia Jax.
The SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis then had it to the limit and announced that Bayley would defend the WWE Women’s Championship against both Naomi and Stratton in a triple threat match at Backlash France.
My Prediction: Bayley

Randy Orton & Kevin Owens vs. Solo Sikoa & Tama Tonga
Ever since his match against Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania XL Roman Reigns is nowhere to be found. Solo is on a mission of destruction since his absence and no one seems to stop him. Solo attacked Jimmy following the Bloodline’s big defeat on WrestleMania XL. He even brought a new member to the Bloodline “Tama Tonga”.
Kevin has his never-ending problems with the Bloodline he once again crossed paths with them before he was brutally attacked by their new member Tama Tonga. Tama unleashed havoc on Kevin Owens following his attack on him.
After that bloodbath with the Bloodline, Kevin ran into Solo and Tama once again with his unhinged attack on this week’s edition of SmackDown. During the attack, Randy Orton stepped up to help even the odds for KO and make their match official for the upcoming WWE Backlash.
My Prediction: Solo Sikoa & Tama Tonga

The Kabuki Warriors (c) vs. Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill – WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions
Another match that is made official has been brewing for months or I would say years. Bianca Belair is set to team up with Jade Cargill to get their part of the flesh of the Damage Control. Damage Control is been Bianca’s way or I would rather say everyone’s way.
The time for payback is here as they defend their WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions. Binca and Cargill also faced them at WrestleMania XL with another partner by their side called Naomi.
Now in the wake of WrestleMania, Bianca and Jade are coming for their tag team gold.
My Prediction: Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill

Cody Rhodes (c) vs. AJ Styles – Undisputed WWE Universal Championship:
For the first in the history of wrestling at this year’s WWE Backlash 2024: France. It may surprise a lot of people but AJ Styles and Cody Rhodes have never faced each other one-on-one in their careers. Both of these superstars have spent a lot in Indies but unfortunately, Cody left WWE exactly the same year when AJ made his WWE debut before going to the Independent circuit.
After finishing his story with Roman Regins at WrestleMania XL, Cody found himself on the top of the mountain with everyone’s eyes on him. Soon Cody found himself his first opponent Styles, who beat LA Knight in the finals of the tournament to crown a top contender for his championship.
Watching the final I truly had a clear favorite AJ Styles. I think Cody’s defense against AJ will be an awesome match to watch. For some old fans like me, this could even be a dream match because back in 2005 AJ Styles also fought “The American Dream” Dusty Rhodes. AJ emerged victorious in that match and became NWA World Champion by some shenanigans.
AJ Styles and Cody are set to go face to face before their match on the upcoming SmackDown. They will be signing the contract for their matchup to make it official. With Aj beating his father in the past, will it be a factor used in the promo against Cody, and if it will be how will The American Nightmare respond to that?
Interesting Backstory:
AJ Styles’s first WWE Championship win was also at Backlash in 2016.
My Prediction: The American Nightmare Cody Rhodes
