WWE Raw Results: Winners, Ratings, Reaction, and Highlights From Aug. 26

The last episode of WWE Raw before the WWE Bash in Berlin this Saturday took place in Providence, Rhode Island.

The show featured the start of the No. 1 Contender’s Tournament for the Intercontinental Championship along with the in-ring debut of Uncle Howdy. I’m back once again to provide you will the insights and storyline updates from this new episode of Monday Night Raw.

The Judgment Day Kicks Off The Raw, with 8-Man Tag Team Match against LWO

The Judgment Day made their way to the ring to kick off the show mocking Ripley and Priest saying that they had that beating coming at them for a long time. Liv also got a little carried away while calling out ‘The Terror Twins’ saying that at the WWE Bash in Berlin, they will realize that “Dirty” Dominik Mysterio and she are always on top.

Dominik Mysterio also tried to get on the mic before the crowd started chatting Boo and didn’t let him say a word. The best thing about this segment was a small laugh from Michael Cole on commentary. Dominik also announced that he is entering the No.1 Contender’s Tournament for the Intercontinental Championship. Just as he was talking the real daddy of Dom ‘Rey Mysterio’ made his way to the ring along with LWO.

The two teams could not hold on to themselves and got into a brawl which led to an 8-man Tag Team Match.

It was a pretty good 8-man Tag Team Match to begin the show. All of the superstars delivered amazing performances, but I think that Rey and Dominik were the two men who really carried the whole match.

Judgment Day won the match after Dominik Mysterio pinned his father Rey Mysterio with a little help from Liv Morgan to pick up the victory. Once the match got over, all members of “The Judgment Day” ganged up on Rey with Dominik Mysterio climbing the turnbuckle to attempt a fog splash on his father onto the announce table.

But before he could go any further out came ‘The Terror Twins’ to take care of Judgment Day. Ripley and Priest dominated the entire Judgment Day with Rhea even getting her hands on Liv Morgan ahead of their Mixed Tag Team Match at the WWE Bash in Berlin this Saturday.

A backstage segment featuring “The New Day”

The show then went to the locker room of “The New Day” which revealed that both Kofi and Xavier will be a part of the No. 1 Contender’s Tournament for the Intercontinental Championship.

One of the most important things from this segment was a dark color ring gear of the Woods, which is more like a theme of “The Final Testament” who are for weeks trying to recruit him into their faction.

Damage CTRL vs. Pure Fusion Collective on WWE Raw

Iyo Sky and Kairi Sane of the “Damage CTRL” made it short with a little assist from Zelina Vega who attacked Donya Deville after Deville and company attacked her a number of weeks ago and injured her arm.

This slight distraction led to Damage CTRL taking advantage and delivering Insane Elbow and Over the Moonsault to pick up the victory.

It is certain that this was not the end for anyone of these womens and will see more of it in the coming future.

McIntyre also mentioned that CM Punk is scared of him because he only attacks him from the back at every opportunity he gets. He also blamed the WWE Universe for that, saying that he only does this because you guys keep chanting his name every week.

Just as he was speaking, CM Punk’s music started to play in the arena. Punk unleashed an attack on the McIntyre from behind the back with a leather strap in hand which will be used in their match this Saturday at the WWE Bash In Berlin.

Luckily for McIntyre the local security made its way to the ring which gave him the opportunity to retreat. Punk then unleashed an attack on the guards, which will cost his a few bucks.

The Miz vs. Xavier Woods vs. Pete Dunne

The show then immediately moved to the next Intercontinental Championship No. 1 Contender Triple Threat match of the night to determine who would advance to the next round.

The match was pretty good, even better than the one we had earlier on the show. All three men left it all in the ring for a shot at the prestigious Intercontinental Championship. After a back-and-forth battle between all 3 contenders, it was Pete Dunne who got the win after pulling the official out of the ring during the pinfall attempt by Woods using the No Disqualification stipulation of the Triple Threat Match.

Leaving his crew from “American Made” behind Chad Gable walked out alone to the ring to face Uncle Howdy who has been terrorizing him for weeks and even called him a false prophet.

Bo Dallas “Uncle Howdy” fought his last match in WWE on Nov 13, 2019, which also included Chad Gable. The match was pretty as it featured a lot of moments where Bo Dallas “Uncle Howdy” paid homage to his late brother Bray Wyatt.

The match was interrupted by reaming members of the “American Made” after the referee got knocked down with a bump from Gable. The Wyatt Sicks then made their way to the ringside to help Uncle Howdy, attacking the members of the Gable’s new faction. Ivy Nile also jumped into the mix as she attacked Erick Rowan from behind, by jumping on his back. Nonetheless, Rowan continued his assault on the Creed Brothers.
