Why is the GTA 6 Series so hyped?
GTA (Grand Theft Auto) has always been a great success for Rockstar Studios. We got to see multiple segments of this video game series. It was GTA Vice City in October 2002, Selling over 17.5 million copies. This game was first launched in October for the PlayStation, In May 2003 it was announced for Windows, and in November it was available for Xbox fans as well.
“Grand Theft Auto VI” Gameplay and Storyline:
The GTA series is tagged with Action-Adventure and Open World type games. There are multiple tricky missions for the players, as they complete the tasks to progress through the story. The game also includes Cheat Codes. These codes may be used to get Superpowers, get rid of the police, summon some special vehicles, or simply make your cars fly and float on water.
It is very fun to use these codes and it is a brilliant implementation in the game. As this game is said to be Open World, players can freely do whatever they please but do not be too chaotic as multiple criminal activities can turn the police on you. There are “stars” to explain the intensity of the police. If you have 5 stars of police, you would rather run.
The game is planned in 1986, the game is fictional but it is highly based on the city of Miami. The main character of this game is “Tommy Vercetti”. The story starts when Tommy is released from prison and sent to Vice City where a deal went very wrong and Tommy begins his journey to reclaim what is truly his, no matter what it takes. We see a great storyline with multiple characters.
This was just the start of the Era of GTA and we were going to see some of the best games ever made in this series.
Reason for the popularity of “Grand Theft Auto VI”:
As we talk about the popularity of this series, let’s state the most famous game first (GTA V) Or GTA 5. One of the most remarkable games well known for its design, play style, and storyline.
GTA 5 was first released in September 2013 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, later in November 2014 it was announced for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One further it appeared in April 2015 for Windows. Then recently it was remastered for PlayStation 5 as well as Xbox X/S in March 2022. The availability of this game over so many platforms throughout the year is one of the reasons for the huge fanbase.
The main reason why this series got so much attention was because there were no limitations to what you can do. It’s basically freedom at its best, massive amounts of content, and an immersive storyline encouraging the player to do missions and progress through the amazing adventure.
Revenue and Downloads:
GTA V was one of the most expensive games of its time, made with a huge budget of 265 million Dollars. This budget was so high because of the script of GTA V, it was more than 1000 pages with multiple characters and their voices.
This was essential in order to make the story more interesting and compelling. The game was launched in 2013 and since then it has sold over 200 million copies in its lifetime, it is the second best-selling game of all time.
GTA V has made over 8.5 billion dollars in lifetime sales, being a commercial success this game had its fan base throughout the world. GTA V is the most selling game on Consoles/PC. Minecraft is top of the list but it has its mobile version.
Therefore GTA V is the most sold game. GTA V download size is around 100 GB. The exact number of downloads is not yet determined so it’s still a mystery but as we know it has sold around 200 million copies so we can estimate the download number somewhere around that.
GTA V Online and Mods:
GTA V Online was released on 1st October 2013. So in order to enable GTA V online you first have to finish the single-player prologue. To complete the story it may take you 32 to 35 hours, But if you are a fan who wants to do every single thing then it may take you about 83 hours.
The availability of GTA Multiplayer makes it much more enjoyable and interesting, as people can play with their friends and perform certain tasks. GTA multiplayer is also known for Role Playing, many famous Youtubers join and gather a large number of people and then create a story of their own, and a massive amount of people enjoy this kind of content.
With the arrival of GTA V on PC, People started to make modes. Some people make unofficial modifications to the game by changing and altering some files within the user installation.
These modifications can change the gaming experience as well as the playstyle.

San Andreas is a single-player game, while offline multiplayer is still possible with PS2 and PS3 where 2 people can play together. Over 27.5 million copies were sold of this game, the game was a huge success with a revenue of over 300 million Dollars just in the first week of release alone.

The main character of this game was Carl Johnson AKA “CJ”. He comes home to his Mother’s Murder, which brings him back to his former life of crimes where he clashes with corrupt authorities and powerful criminals. The storyline of this game was really exciting and fun.
Also, some characters were really good overall this game was also a great release. It is also permissible to mod GTA San Andreas and there are hundreds of fun modes available. The same modes actually increase the graphic quality and much more.
GTA V Summary
GTA V Map was based in Southern California. In this game of the series, we actually see 3 main characters:

The Main story of GTA V starts with 3 protagonists Micheal, Trevor and Franklin retired Bank robbers who are under pressure from the corrupt authorities and powerful criminals to commit heists.
Once again a great storyline with multiple characters and each character has its own little special ability, which is used in some missions as well as free to use. Just a little detail but stuff is very interesting and different from what we have seen in the past few games of this series.
The reason behind the “Grand Theft Auto VI” hype:
GTA V was the last best release by Rockstar Studios and for almost a decade there were no new games for the GTA series besides some side projects. So the GTA fans were looking forward to a new title. Just after 1 year of the release of GTA V development for Grand Theft Auto VI was started.
On December 4th, 2023 we saw a trailer of this new title with a bunch of new stuff. It will be released for Playstation5 and Xbox Series X and S. With this new title we are finally having a female protagonist, Unlike any other GTA games series, this is the first time we are seeing a woman protagonist. The graphics of Grand Theft Auto VI are up-to-date, and the storyline would be amazing.
With the announcement of this trailer by the rockstar studios, fans were shocked and they had to wait another year for this masterpiece. The release date of Grand Theft Auto was announced and it will be available in Autumn 2025.
This was a setback for the die-hard fans but at least now we have an official announcement and there is only a little more waiting left. Rockstar Studios is clearly working really hard for this title, as the hype we see around us is unreal.
Leaked features of “Grand Theft Auto VI”:
Some of the new features we saw on the leaks and sneak peeks include new and better AI for Police. In the few leaks, we also learn that now police can note your car’s number in order to track you off. Multiple little changes have been seen.
Now you can steal vehicles from the dealership, just like we could in GTA 4. Furthermore, the driving style is more likely to be like the GTA V driving style. The physics of GTA 4 can not be implemented in an online environment.
The 2 main protagonists Jason and Lucia would have their own preferred weapons and they would have their own favorite sports. Yes, there will be a casino for gambling. The developers are trying to make the game more and more realistic with a lot of tiny details like if you are sprained, your clothes can get wet with sweat and show off wrinkles.
More details: if you go on a heist or a long miss, your character can show stress and stain will make you run slower or even make you unconscious for a while. All these tiny factors are going to make the game super realistic.
The radio in the car will continue to play even after you leave the car. One thing that we are likely to witness is some romance added to the game. As Lucia had an ex so we can see him in the story as well.
We can also see a security feature called face recognition in Grand Theft Auto VI. This is a very good step taken by the developers as underage people are becoming more aware of these games and would jump in without knowledge, a great step taken for the betterment of society.
Online Features of “Grand Theft Auto VI”
Developers are working extremely well on developing roleplay features. We can now choose a job we want to work on. Rockstar Studios are making Roleplay a thing so now we can have more exciting content and experience the game.
Fans Controversy behind “Grand Theft Auto VI”
We can all agree that this much hype can turn into impractical expectations about the game. Somewhat similar to Cyberpunk 2, the hype was so much that people were making up their own assumptions and expectations much more from the game.
This can happen to Grand Theft Auto VI as well because there is the same hype and there are so many rumors about the game. As no developers have confirmed it, this can cause a huge controversy between the fans.
Also, fans are expecting a much bigger story somewhere around 80-85 hours. While no GTA series game has ever crossed the 40-hour mark. This can really affect fans if the story is not big enough as they desire.
