My thoughts on this week’s edition of WWE SmackDown
Coming out of the biggest WWE Royal Rumble PLE in the history of the company, WWE delivered a pretty normal episode of WWE SmackDown with nothing too big to impact the landscape continuing with the long-term storytelling. WWE was mainly built around the upcoming Elimination Chamber: Toronto PLE and focused on who Charlotte Flair and Jey Uso would pick for WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas.
I really liked the little promo segment between LA Knight and Drew McIntyre before their 2025 Men’s Elimination Chamber qualifying match. Now with both Punk and McIntyre in the Chamber, I’m really looking forward to Seth Rollins joining the field as well as that would definitely blow the roof off the Rogers Centre.
WWE also announced a WWE Women’s Championship next week here on WWE SmackDown. I think it is clearly because they do not want to put Jax in the Chamber match and hand her a WrestleMania match right now. I mean let’s see what goes down.
My Ratings for the show: 6 /10
