WWE SmackDown Results: Winners, Ratings, and Highlights From Feb. 28
With just one night away from the 2025 WWE Elimination Chamber in Toronto, WWE SmackDown heads to Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. WWE stacked the final stop on the Road to WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas with some really exciting matches and segments. But before all that, let’s dive into what happened on the final episode of WWE SmackDown before the Elimination Chamber.
Tiffany Stratton vs. Chelsea Green
WWE HOF Trish Stratus kicked off the WWE SmackDown in her hometown of Toronto as she called out Tiffany Stratton to the ring for her scheduled match. Stratus also talked about her upcoming tag team match at the WWE Elimination Chamber, where she teams up with Tiffany Stratton. Chelsea Green then arrived on the scene along with Piper Niven before Stratton challenged her to a match which was made official by GM Nick Aldis.
Both superstars then had a singles match where Stratton defeated Green via disqualification after an attack by Nia Jax and Candice LeRae. Stratton and Stratus answered back with action making Jax and LeRae retreat.
Result: Tiffany Stratton defeated Chelsea Green via disqualification

WWE SmackDown GM Nick Aldis addresses the US Championship future
WWE SmackDown GM Nick Aldis then appeared in a backstage segment addressing the WWE US Championship situation. Aldis made three singles matches official for the night, saying the winners will face each other tonight in a Triple Threat match to determine the new No.1 Contender.
- LA Knight vs. Santos Escobar
- Carmelo Hayes vs. Braun Strowman
- Andrade vs. Solo Sikoa
Andrade vs. Jacob Fatu
Solo Sikoa then met Jacob Fatu immediately following that announcement, saying that he wanted him to participate in this match to bring the US Championship to the Bloodline.
Andrade delivered an amazing performance but nothing that he did was enough to keep Fatu down, who defeated him to qualify in the upcoming Triple Threat match to determine the new No.1 Contender for the Men’s US Championship.
Result: Jacob Fatu defeated Andrade in 1st of three Singles matches

- Cody Rhodes was escorted to his special locker room courtesy of The Rock.
- WWE SmackDown also featured a video from earlier today, where Legado Del Fantasma went face-to-face with Street Profits.
Chaos in the Men’s Tag Team Division
WWE SmackDown then featured a highlight from earlier on the show where GM Nick Aldis asked Los Garza and Street Profits to prepare for their high-stake tag team match later on the show.
DIY then attacked the Street Profits while they were making their entrance for the match before Los Garza joined the brawl too. Pretty Deadly then arrived on the scene as well, along with the Motor City Machine Guns as well. All teams continued to fight with no one being able to stop them.
Final faceoff before the Elimination Chamber
Drew McIntyre then arrived on the show, interrupting a video package of John Cena calling him a hypocrite. Damian Priest then arrived on the show saying that he is only delusional. Seth Rollins then also arrived on the scene saying he was not here to talk about the past pointing to the WrestleMania 41 sign.
CM Punk later joined the party as well, mocking both Rollins and McIntyre saying that this is his WrestleMania. Logan Paul then arrived on WWE SmackDown, fooling everyone that it’s John Cena. Paul then began to trash-talk all his opponents from the 2025 Men’s Elimination Chamber match.
The segment ended with Paul running away from Punk. And yes, there was no Cena in the segment.
LA Knight vs. Santos Escobar
WWE SmackDown then featured the 2nd of three singles matches with the winners heading into a Triple Threat match to determine the new No.1 Contender.
LA Knight defeated Santos Escobar to qualify in the upcoming Triple Threat match to determine the new No.1 Contender for the Men’s US Championship.
Result: LA Knight defeated Santos Escobar in the 2nd of three Singles matches

Sami Zayn arrives on WWE SmackDown
With just one night away from his Unsanctioned match Sami Zayn invited Kevin Owens to the ring one last time. Owens appeared live from the Rogers Centre in Toronto.
Owens told Zayn that he would end his career and that he wouldn’t be able to do anything for his family after that. Zayn replied by saying that Owens’s family would also not be able to forgive Zayn for what he was going to do to Owens tomorrow night.
A backstage segment featuring The Miz, Carmelo Hayes, and Cody Rhodes
The Miz then appeared in a backstage segment trying to hype up Hayes before his match. Miz then met Cody Rhodes and told him that if he didn’t accept Rock’s offer someone else would.
Carmelo Hayes vs. Braun Strowman
WWE SmackDown then featured the 3rd of three singles matches with the winners heading into a Triple Threat match to determine the new No.1 Contender, where Carmelo Hayes defeated Braun Strowman with a little help from Solo Sikoa and Tama Tonga.
Result: Carmelo Hayes defeated Braun Strowman

Liv Morgan, Raquel Rodriguez, and Roxanne Perez vs. Bayley, Bianca Belair, and Naomi – 6-woman tag team match
WWE SmackDown then featured a 6-woman tag team match, after what happened on this past episode of WWE Raw where Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez defeated Bianca Belair and Naomi to become the new WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions.
Morgan and Rodriguez now teamed with Roxanne Perez to take on the team of Belair and Naomi along with Bayley.
Morgan, Rodriguez, and Perez defeated Bayley, Belair, and Naomi — after Perez pinned Bayley to pick up the win for her team.
Alexa Bliss then arrived inside the ring as she hit Perez with Sister Abigail DDT.
Result: Liv Morgan, Raquel Rodriguez, and Roxanne Perez defeated Bayley, Bianca Belair, and Naomi

Backstage segment ft. Charlotte Flair
Charlotte Flair then arrived in a backstage interview segment saying that she would be waiting for Tiffany Stratton at WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas.
Carmelo Hayes vs. LA Knight vs. Jacob Fatu – Triple Threat Match
WWE SmackDown then Triple Threat match to determine the new No.1 Contender for the WWE Men’s US Championship.
Hayes, Knight, and Fatu all participated in the match after winning their respective singles matches from earlier on the show.
All three men gave their all in this high-stakes match, where Knight defeated Fatu and Hayes to become the new No.1 Contender and challenge Shinsuke Nakamura for the Men’s US Championship.

Cody Rhodes arrives on WWE SmackDown
WWE SmackDown ended with Cody Rhodes receiving his car from the Rock before he actually arrived on the show via video package and Rhodes left the show.
