The Great Indian Kapil Show is a newly released Indian comedy show that you can watch on Netflix. I have been a big fan of Kapil’s show for years and this new show is certainly a delight for me. The show is being broadcast in over 192 countries of the world. This is my non-spoiler review of the show.
The Great Indian Kapil Show
The episode of the show premiered on 30th March 2024. Kapil was doing another one of his shows before that which ended last year in July. After nearly a year of absence, Kapil along with his unbelievably talented crew made their comeback in the biggest way possible with Kapil proving a line true from one of his previous which said “I’m not done yet”.
The team kept the format of the show as before where celebrities would come to promote their upcoming project and the show also welcomed guests from other fields as well.
The format showcases a set placed on an airport, where Kapil has his cafe on the set known as Kap’s Cafe. Kiku Sharda as “Chef Dhanya Lal” and Krishna Abhishek as “Sapna”.
The show also had the long-awaited comeback of Sunil Grover as “Dafli”. Sunil made his comeback to the show with Kapil 6 years after they had a fight about something deeply personal. The character works at the Duty-free shop location on the set.
Episodes and Guests:
As of now, four episodes of the show are currently live. The show featured some of the biggest names in Bollywood just as Kapil used to do in his previous shows. Although the crew and guests might seem repeated, the content is fresh and unique. Netflix has allowed Kapil and his team to play their characters more freely, allowing them to express their characters and their craft.

My Thoughts:
I have been watching Kapil Sharma for like 10 years now back when he used to do his show “Comedy Nights with Kapil”. Kapil is always a great joy to watch and his team is as talented as him. I personally find it very joyful to watch all the characters of the show playing their roles. This new format of the show has once again brought the good old laugh and humor of Kapil’s show back to life.
