WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event XXXIX – Results: Winners, Ratings, and Highlights

WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event XXXIX took place at the Enterprise Center in St. Louis, Missouri. This is also the last time John Cena was a part of WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event as part of Cena’s farewell tour, which will continue till the end of 2025.

WWE Hall of Famer Jesse “The Body” Ventura also returned on the commentary desk for the event.

CM Punk and Sami Zayn vs. Seth Rollins and Bron Breakker

WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event kicked off with the highly personal tag team match between CM Punk and Sami Zayn going against the team of Seth Rollins and Bron Breakker.

Punk and Zayn took the fight to Rollins and Breakker before the bell even began, showing no mercy to the new duo — who tried to fight back. Paul Heyman also tried to get involved in the match, only to distract the referee so Bronson Reed could attack Punk behind his back. This allowed Breakker to his Zayn with a spear and win the match for his team.

Reed was then unveiled as the new member of the Rollins’ crew. Reed then continued his assault on Punk as everybody looked on.

WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event then rolled on with Zelina Vega — who defended her Women’s United States Championship against Chelsea Green.

Secret Hervice tried their best to get involved in the match by distracting the referee so Green could find a way to take advantage. But that didn’t turn out well who Green as Vega managed to find a way to hit her with a Code Red from the top rope to retain her championship.

John Cena vs. R-Truth

John Cena continued on his mission of ruining wrestling as he competed against R-Truth in a non-title singles match, one last time. Cena walked down to the ring in his black out theme, meanwhile R-Truth also used Cena’s gear and music to enter the arena.

Cena began assaulting Truth as the match kicked off, giving him no time. He then hit Truth with a low blow behind the referee back to win the match.

Truth using Cena’s gear, theme, and set of moves inside the ring was just incredible. It was truly a one last for the legend.

Damian Priest vs. Drew McIntyre – Steel Cage match

Damian Priest and Drew McIntyre wrote another chapter in their year-long rivalry as they stepped inside a Steel Cage against each other. McIntyre instantly took advantage of the no disqualification rules to add a couple of steel chairs inside the cage before shutting the door to begin the match.

Both Priest and McIntyre brought out the utter brutality to each other inside the cage, giving everything they had. Priest laid out McIntyre to hit him with a ConChairTo and then walk out of the cage to win the match.

Jey Uso (c) vs. Logan Paul – World Heavyweight Championship

The main event on WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event turned out to be the World Heavyweight Championship match between Jey Uso and Logan Paul.

Paul used an exposed turnbuckle followed by a right hand to put away Uso, who kicked out at two. Jey came close to winning the match before John Cena pulled the referee from the ring and began to attack Jey. Cody Rhodes then returned for the first time since WrestleMania 41 and hit Cena with a Cross Rhodes.

Jey then hit Paul with a frog splash to retain his Championship.

Rhodes then challenged both Paul and Cena to a Tag Team match at WWE Money in the Bank (2025).

Result: Jey Uso (c) defeated Logan Paul to retain his World Heavyweight Championship
