WWE Survivor Series: WarGames (2024) unfolded the biggest storylines in all of WWE right now including the Bloodline Saga. The show featured epic matches including superstars from both WWE Raw and WWE SmackDown.
The match card for the show included Two War Games matches — each for the Women’s and Men’s divisions. The show also included a WWE United States Championship match and a Triple Threat match for the WWE Intercontinental Championship. Along with a World Heavyweight Championship match.
WWE Survivor Series is a part of the WWE’s “Big Five” PLEs of the calendar year along with the WrestleMania, SummerSlam, Royal Rumble, and Money in the Bank. This year’s WWE Survivor Series: WarGames (2024) will be the last ever to be aired on the WWE Network as from Jan 2025 WWE Content will be moving to Netflix.
Rhea Ripley, Bianca Belair, Naomi, Iyo Sky & Bayley vs. Liv Morgan, Nia Jax, Raquel Rodriguez, Tiffany Stratton & Candice LeRae (Women’s WarGames Match)
WWE Survivor Series: WarGames (2024) kicked off with the Women’s WarGames Match. Bayley & Nia Jax were the first two womens to enter the WarGames and start the match. Jax certainly had the power advantage in the early going and for Bayley, she was just trying to find a way to use her athleticism to somehow equal her in the power game. Bayley even tried using the leather strap for her gear to her advantage before Jax took it away from her and slowed down the pace of the game.
Naomi was the second woman to enter the WarGames from Bayley’s team. She even took a kendo stick with her as she entered the structure to fight the Jax. Both Naomi and Bayley tried to overpower Jax in the numbers games.
Candice LeRae was the second woman from Jax’s team to enter the WarGames. LeRae using her previous experience in the match introduced steel chairs into her match as entered the WarGames.
Bianca Belair then entered the match from Bayley and Naomi’s team giving them the 3 on 2 advantage for the next 3 minutes. The EST also introduced a trash can, a fire extinguisher into the WarGames along with a Table and a steel chair as well.
Tiffany Stratton was the 3rd woman to enter the WarGame match from Candice and Nia’s team. Nia and company then dominated the match for the next few minutes.
Iyo Sky became the 4th woman to enter the WarGames match from her side of the team. This was the 6th WarGames match for Sky, more than other women in WWE. Iyo entered the WarGames by climbing on the top of the structure as LeRae pulled her in before she could do anything significant. Sky showing her experience in the match dominated in the early going before Jax took her down using her force.
Raquel Rodriguez then entered the match from Liv’s team for the 3rd time in her career. Rodriguez along with Jax then dominated the match using their power game.
Rhea Ripley was the fifth and final woman to enter the WarGames for her side of the team, also giving her team the 5v4 advantage. Ripley using her power and speed tried to overcome the opponent team as her own team also tried to help her as well. All hell broke loose as all the womens went after each other.
Now with Ripley standing in the middle of the ring, it was a few more seconds for Liv to enter the WarGames and officially begin the match.
Scared to death by Rhea Ripley, Morgan walked out of the arena to bring a baseball bat with her to the playing field.
And with that now, Let the WarGames begin.
Liv’s team ganged up on Reha and she attacked her with the baseball bat. They even tried to handcuff Reha but she escaped the disaster.
Both Sky and Stratton then climbed on the opposite sides of the cage. Iyo once again placed the trash can on her head as both women jumped down. Iyo delivered a Moonsault and Stratton delivered a Swanton Bomb from the top of the cage.
The genius of the Stratton had bought her Money In The Back contract as well to the WarGames with her as she took it out from the trash can. Rodriguez then got up to save Liv’s championship before Sky unleashed the fire extinguisher in the ring. In the mix of all that Ripley tied Rodriguez with the handcuffs to the top rope.
After a back-and-forth battle between both teams, Reha Ripley managed to find a way to hit the Riptide on the Women’s World Heavyweight Champion Liv Morgan to pick up the win for her team.

- Iyo Sky entered her 6th WarGames match, more than any other woman in history. She has also competed in every Women’s WarGames Match ever.
- Raquel Rodriguez & Candice LeRae entered as 2-0 in the WarGames matches in their career.
- Team Reha had a total of 18 appearances in WarGames compared to Team Liv’s 9 appearances.

LA Knight (c) vs. Shinsuke Nakamura – WWE United States Championship
The next match of the night was between the returning Shinsuke Nakamura and the WWE United States Champion LA Knight. The match began well for the champion as he took the fight to Nakamura early on. But this didn’t go on for long as Nakamura slowly got control over Knight. Nakamura unleashed his arsenal on to champion placing him in a difficult place after a long, long time.
Knight had a really close count during the match when he drove Nakamura into the mat. Knight tried to execute some really good fence during the match but it looked like Nakamura had an answer for everything Knight had to offer. Nakamura even used the center steel section between the two rings for the WarGames structure to his advantage as he drove Knight head-first into that — completely legal in the match due to the WWE Survivor Series: WarGames (2024) PLE structure.
Nakamura then delivered his signature Kinshasa on the back of the head of Knight to pick up the win and become a 3 times WWE United States Champion.

Bron Breakker (c) vs. Sheamus vs. Ludwig Kaiser – Triple threat match for the WWE Intercontinental Championship at WWE Survivor Series: WarGames (2024)
The next match on the WWE Survivor Series: WarGames (2024) show was between two men all looking to prove something as they collide in a Triple threat match. This match had a great display of power, speed, and athleticism. All three men took a big-time fight with each other right from the get-go.
Kaiser introduced a steel chair to the mix, all legal in a triple-threat match. He even delivered his signature running kicks against the steel steps to Sheamus, the same move that he has used to take out so many superstars in the past. Breakker then took the fight Sheamus inside the ring for a few moments before Kaiser intersected.
Breakker then launched himself on both Kasier and Sheamus as they were fighting right in front of the commentary table. Sheamus also delivered 10 Beats of The Bodhrán to both Kaiser & Breakker on the barricade as he celebrated with the WWE Universe in the Rogers Arena.
Sheamus had a really close count on Breakker as he sidestepped his spear, causing Breakker to hit the head first into the steel chair placed in the turnbuck. But Kaiser saved the day for himself as he pulled the referee out of the ring before the three count. Kaiser then attacked Sheamus with a shillelagh, before Sheamus took him out with a knee to the face for a really close count of three before Kaiser kicked out.
The arena started buzzing with “This is Awesome Chants.”
Breakker then took out Kaiser with maybe the best spear ever that I have seen in my life.
Breakker delivered one to the Sheamus as well to pick up the victory and retain his Championship.

Gunther (C) vs. Damian Priest – World Heavyweight Championship at WWE Survivor Series: WarGames (2024)
Damian Priest looked quite confident heading into this match compared to “Ring General” Gunther who has recently suffered a loss from “The American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes at Crown Jewel (2024).
Both of the superstars spent the early moment of the match analyzing each other, before starting to exchange hands with each other. Priest delivered a big shoulder tackle to the champion — possibly hurting his shoulder in the process.
The doubt came true in just a moment, as Priest had difficulty with his shoulder — which opened the door for Gunther to strike and take advantage. The official kept checking on the challenger to see if he could continue anymore or not. Priest also locked Gunther in the triangle submission, trying to take the big man out.
Priest, even with a bad left shoulder tried to deliver a razor’s edge but his shoulder gave out on him, allowing Gunther to deliver a powerbomb. Damian Priest then tried and delivered a successful Hurricanrana to Gunther from the top and then executed a successful razor’s edge for a count of two.
The match had a very critical moment when Gunther tried to deliver a superplex on Priest before he pushed him back into the ring and fell off on the floor outside, possibly hurting his second arm as well. Just when the referee was dealing with Gunther inside the ring Fin Balor delivered his Coup De Grace on the Priest.
Gunther then took the advantage delivering the bowerbomb on Priest and locking him in the sleeper hold to pickup the win.

Roman Reigns, Sami Zayn, The Usos & CM Punk vs. Solo Sikoa, Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa & Bronson Reed (Men’s WarGames Match)
The main event of the WWE Survivor Series: WarGames (2024) had the biggest battle in all of WWE in store as the OG Bloodline of Roman Reigns, Sami Zayn, The Usos & CM Punk was set to go against the New Bloodline of Solo Sikoa, Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa & Bronson Reed.
The match itself had so much on the line as to what the future landscape of WWE be like if the OG’s lost to the New Bloodline of Soli Sikoa. One thing that really struck out was that the New Bloodline all entered as one in the arena while the OG Bloodline members came separately over their respective music.
Tama Tonga & Jey Uso were the first two men to enter the WarGames and start the match. Tama Tonga had a hold on the more experienced Jey Uso in the early moments of the match, he looked pretty relaxed and confident knowing that he had the WarGames advantage over his team.
Bronson Reed was the second person to enter the WarGames from the New Bloodline. Reed entered the WarGames structure along with a bunch of steel chairs as he unleashed his brutality on the Jey Uso who had no help for the next few minutes.
The crowd started chanting Sami Uso as the clock went down.
Jey’s twin brother Jimmy Uso came to his rescue as they equaled the numbers once again. Jimmy seemed to be unstoppable as he took out both Bronson Reed and Tama Tonga. The Usos using their highly incredible in-ring chemistry had the match in their control as the 3rd member of the New Bloodline made his way to the WarGames.
Solo Sikoa instructed Jacob Fatu to enter the WarGames for their team. The Usos had no answer for the brutality of the Fatu. The Usos suffered a beatdown with no place to go till they waited for their 3rd member to arrive inside the WarGames.
CM Punk next tried to walk towards the ring before Roman Reigns stopped him in his tracks and asked Sami Zayn to go first. Zayn along with Usos finally got control over the New Bloodline.
Tonga Loa was the 4th member to enter the WarGames from the New Bloodline side of things. Loa also introduced a couple of tables inside the WarGames as he entered the match. Just like that, The New Bloodline got control over The Usos and Sami Zayn. The OTC can do nothing but wait for his turn.
Tension between Punk and Reigns kept building up as Punk made his way to the WarGames after shoulder-tackling Reigns from the back. Punk took out his toolbox as well from under the ring as well. Punk took the fight to the New Bloodline.
Solo Sikoa was the fifth and final member to enter the WarGames for his side of the team, also giving his team the 5v4 advantage. The New Bloodline seemed to be unbeatable as their leader made his way into the WarGames. With Solo’s instruction, The New Bloodline laid havoc to the OG’s something like you have never seen before.
Solo locks the door of the cage with one of his own locks and chains so Roman cannot enter the match as the final downtown goes off.
Roman, trying to open the gate of the cage was left with no choice but to climb his way into it. Roman entered the match executing a cross body from the top rope and taking out all the members of the New Bloodline.
Roman gathered his OG Bloodline — ignoring Punk in the process. Both Punk and Roman had a slight faceoff before Paul Heyman made his way to the ringside. Heyman made peace between the two reminding them to focus on the real enemy inside.
And with that, The WarGames begin.
All ten men fought each other. In the fog of war, Reigns accidentally speared Punk before Solo hit him with the Samoan Spike for the count of two. Reed then delivered a Death Valley driver to Punk as Fatu followed it with the Moonsault but he missed and hurt his knee in the process. Roman then also hit Fatu with a low blow.
Bronson Reed then climbed to the top of the WarGames cage to deliver a tsunami on Reigns as Punk saved him by dragging him out of the way. Punk putting everything aside to help Reigns, what a moment !!!
The Usos then took out Jacob Fatu with the 1D. They then set up a table, with Jimmy Uso delivering Uso Slash from the top of the cage. Sami then helped Usos get back to their feet as they helped Reigns and Punk get back to their feet.
The OG Bloodline then ganged up on Solo with no one to help him.
Roman Reigns then covered Solo Sikoa to win the WarGames, or I would say they survived the war. Both Reigns and Punk also shook hands with each other, burying their differences aside.

My thoughts on WWE Survivor Series: WarGames (2024) PLE
I personally like this long-term storytelling of WWE a lot. If we talk about the Bloodline saga beginning all the way even before WrestleMania 39 when Roman Reigns kicked out Sami Zayn from The Bloodline to then Jey Uso also leaving him and eventually losing his championship at WrestleMania XL to now putting it all together once again just like the old days.
The WWE Intercontinental Championship and WWE United States Championship storylines have been working well as WWE is once again putting up the new talent on top to keep things fresh.
Gunther has certainly become an unstoppable force of his own once again, would someone be able to stand toe-to-toe with him, it will certainly be really to see in the near future.
