With just one night away from WWE Backlash in St. Louis, WWE SmackDown has headed to Nutter Center in Dayton, OH.
LA Knight and Damian Priest vs. Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu
WWE SmackDown kicked off with a massive tag team match as Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu attacked both LA Knight and Damian Priest last week here on WWE SmackDown, which led to this match.
There were clear problems between Knight and Priest, which allowed Sikoa to capitalize, but it was not enough as Knight managed to secure the win for his team.
Knight, Priest, and Fatu attacked each other after the match with Fatu standing on top. Before Drew McIntyre hit him with a Claymore kick.
Result: LA Knight and Damian Priest defeated Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu

Piper Niven and Chelsea Green vs. Zelina Vega and Alexa Bliss
Zelina Vega defeated Piper Niven last week here on WWE SmackDown. Vega then challenged Green and Niven to a tag team match, with her surprise partner being the returning Alexa Bliss.
Vega and Bliss delivered an amazing tag team performance to pick up the win.
Result: Zelina Vega and Alexa Bliss defeated Piper Niven and Chelsea Green

Charlotte Flair returns to WWE SmackDown
After losing to Tiffany Stratton at WrestleMania 41 Charlotte Flair returned to WWE SmackDown, talking about how she took Stratton to the absolute limit. Flair then had enough and left the ring before Jade Cargill came to the ring for her match.
Cargill took to the mic and told Flair to head to the back of the line.

Jade Cargill vs. Nia Jax – No.1 Contender’s match for the Women’s Championship
Jade Cargill and Tiffany Stratton defeated Naomi and Nia Jax in a tag team match last week here on WWE SmackDown. Cargill and Jax now face each other to determine the next No.1 Contender for the Women’s Championship. Stratton also arrived on the ringside to get the best view of who she would face in the near future.
Naomi attacked Stratton at the ringside during the match, which allowed Jax to take advantage and pick up the win.
Result: Nia Jax defeated Jade Cargill

The Street Profits vs. Fraxiom
After retaining their Tag Team Championship in a TLC match on the Apr. 25th edition of WWE SmackDown, Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford returned to WWE SmackDown. Axiom and Nathan Frazer then arrived on the scene, asking for the Championship match before GM Nick Aldis put them all in a non-title tag team match.
Axiom and Frazer delivered one banger of a match to pick up the win over the current Tag Team Champions.
Result: Fraxiom defeated The Street Profits

Carmelo Hayes vs. Aleister Black
Aleister Black defeated The Miz last week here on WWE SmackDown, but he now finds himself against The Miz’s protégé Carmelo Hayes in a Singles match.
Miz tried to interfere to help Hayes, but instead cost him the match. He then tried to go after Black, who hit him with a Black Mass.
Result: Aleister Black defeated Carmelo Hayes
Ratings: 9 /10
Los Garzas vs. Andrade and Rey Fenix
Santos Escobar and Los Garza attacked Rey Fénix backstage earlair on WWE SmackDown. Fenix now teams with Andrade to take on Angel & Berto in a tag team match.
All four men delivered non-stop, fast-paced action, with Andrade and Rey Fenix picking up the win.
Things escalated between Escobar and Berto, as Berto slapped Escobar’s arm and left the ring.
Result: Andrade and Rey Fenix Los Garzas

The Champ meets the Legend Killer
Ahead of his Undisputed WWE Championship match against Randy Orton at WWE Backlash, John Cena arrived on WWE SmackDown as the crowd sang “John Cena Sucks.!”
Cena talked about his long history with Randy Orton, saying that Backlash will mark the end the childhood for a lot of WWE fans. Cena said that Orton has achieved everything just because of his family and hasn’t done any of the hard work for that. He then dragged Orton’s family into the conversation.
Cena also talked about Orton’s failed drug test from the past, saying that the result will be the same at WWE Backlash.
Orton then appeared from the back for an RKO, but instead Cena hit him with an Attitude Adjustment. A few seconds the real Randy Orton appeared from behind and hit Cena with an RKO outta nowhere.

My thoughts on this week’s edition of WWE SmackDown:
WWE did an amazing job with the week’s edition of WWE SmackDown, which delivered some amazing matches along with the final built to WWE Backlash PLE.
The matches on the card were amazing, especially the Tag Team match between Fraxiom and Street Profits. We now also have the new No.1 Contender for the Women’s Championship, in the form of Nia Jax. I would love the Jax and Stratton’s rivalry to be unfolded once again.
Orton also tricked Cena into another RKO ahead of their match at Backlash, which was a bit hilarious.
