Brother Vs Brother at WrestleMania
WrestleMania XL is just 3 days away from being held in Philadelphia at Lincoln Financial Field. Philly is also known as the “City of Brotherly Love” and this year after 15 years we will see a Brother Vs Brother at WrestleMania.
But before we get there, I want to take you for a history ride and show you all the matches between Brother vs. Brother at WrestleMania.

Owen Hart vs. Bret Hart – WrestleMania 10
The first-ever matchup featuring a storyline of Brother Vs Brother at WrestleMania happened between The Hart Brothers.
The epic storyline between the Hart brothers began at PPV of Survivor Series 1993, while they were on the same team in a traditional Survivor Series elimination match. The match was set to feature the following superstars in their respective teams.
The Hart Family (Bret Hart, Bruce Hart, Keith Hart, and Owen Hart) (with Stu Hart) Vs Shawn Michaels and His Knights (The Black Knight, The Blue Knight, The Red Knight, and Shawn Michaels).
The feud between the Hart Brothers kickoff as Owen was tagged in and fighting in the ring, Bret had sustained a kayfabe injury, and was staggering along the ring apron. During the match Owen ran into Bret, causing Owen to lose his focus and get eliminated from the match.
After the match, Owen decided to return to the ring and confronted his brother Bret. In the following weeks, An upset Owen demanded a match with his brother Bret, but Bret refused to accept his challenge.
Eventually, the storyline had the brothers reunite to face the team of The Quebecers at Royal Rumble 1994. During the match, Bret sustained another kayfabe injury, causing the referee to end the match. In a planned turn, Owen got upset by the loss and attacked Bret to restart the feud, eventually leading to a first-time-ever one-on-one matchup between two real brothers in the WWE ring.
The two brothers went on to be an iconic matchup of brother vs brother at WrestleMania 10. This went to be a classic one-on-one match between the two brothers, the match ended with 20:21 of official duration. The winner of the match was Owen Hart.

Jeff Hardy vs. Matt Hardy – Brother Vs Brother at WrestleMania 25
The second Brother Vs Brother at WrestleMania match took place 15 years after the first matchup at the 25th Anniversary of WrestleMania.
The storyline started to kick off before WrestleMania 25 when Jeff Hardy was the WWE Champion and was set to appear on “The Cutting Edge” talk show while on his way to the ring, Jeff faced a pyro malfunction during his entrance, and Hardy was then statured out of there. Jeff blamed Edge for this but he continued to deny the acquisition saying that he had nothing to do with all of this.
Jeff was set to defend his WWE Championship against Edge at Royal Rumble in a “No DQ Match”. Where out came Matt Hardy to help his brother Jeff to win the match before he turned on his brother and attacked him with a steel chair allowing the Ultimate Opportunists Edge to pick up the win and become the new WWE Champion.
In the coming weeks, the buildup to their match continued with promos where Matt once stated that “He finally doesn’t have to share the spotlight with his brother”. He also accepted the fact that he was the one behind the pyro malfunction. During his promos, he also talked about Jeff’s alcohol addiction, while calling his brother a Psychological Wreck.
To which Jeff replied that: Matt should try to be a role model rather than a man still living in his past.
During their face-to-face promos, Jeff told Matt that he would never fight his brother to which Jeff replied by saying that his career has been mediocre while Jeff’s has skyrocketed.
Matt also Slapped Jeff on that same episode of SmackDown calling him a “Coward”.
In the next few weeks, Matt continued talking trash about Jeff and kept calling him out but he didn’t say anything. Then on an episode of SmackDown Jeff got ticked off and went for Matt and accepted his challenge to a Match at WrestleMania 25.
The two went on the have an Extreme Rules match at WrestleMania 25 throwing caution to the wind. The match itself was brilliantly executed with Matt Hardy emerging victorious.

Jimmy Uso vs. Jey Uso – Brother Vs Brother at WrestleMania 40
This last match on our Brother Vs Brother at WrestleMania list is yet to happen where the twin brothers Usos will go head-to-head in a one-on-one match against each other in their legendary career.
The story began when The Uso lost their Tag Team Championships in the main event of WrestleMania 39 last year. The Uso lost their championship to Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn and they were unable to reclaim them in their rematch as well. Seeing the situation, “The Head of The Table” Roman Reigns decided to team up with his cousin Solo Sikoa to go on the championship. He unfortunately lost the match to Kevin and Sami due to The Uso’s interference.
Roman confronted the Usos and started talking trash to them before Jimmy lost himself and turned on Reigns saying “I am doing what you should have done, a long time ago”. Eventually superkicking him.
In the coming weeks, Jey found out that his elder brother knew that he would not be the tribal chief after Roman and Jey were the right heir to the head of the table and he could not admit that and turned on his family.
In the coming weeks, Jey stood with Roman as “The Right Hand Man”, before eventually turning on Roman by saying the words ”You out, and I’m out too.” and superkicking Roman to finally leave the bloodline.
This went to a “Bloodline Civil War” between The Usos Vs Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa at the Money In The Bank. When The Uso did the unthinkable by beating Solo and Roman in the tag match Jey pinned Roman’s shoulder to the mat and the whole world saw Roman finally lose a match via pinfall after 3.5 Years.
But that was not it, the torture for the Usos continued in the coming weeks with brutal attacks by The Head of The Table and his Enforcer “Solo Sikoa”.
This all leads to a Tribal Combat between Jey Uso and Roman Regins where his twin brother joins hands with The Head of The Table and turns on his brother.
The fire continued to blow between the brothers, which eventually led to Jey Uso leaving the WWE forever. But, he later returned to WWE once again by joining Cody on the RAW where he also found himself winning the tag team gold once again with “The American Nightmare”.
Things once again started to get interesting when Jey drew No.1 to start the Royal Rumble 2024 against his brother Jimmy who was at No.2.
Over the next few weeks, Jey found himself once again in the Championship picture where he was on the verge of defeating Gunthar for the IC Championship, where he was distracted by Jey coasting him to lose the match.
This all went down for a few more weeks before Jey finally came out on Raw to challenge his twin brother Jimmy to a match at WrestleMania XL.
As of now, the challenge has been accepted and the match has been made official as the brothers are set the face each other at Night 1 of WrestleMania 40 in Philly.
