There’s been a lot of legendary streaks in the history of WWE, A lot of which ended. But there’s one more streak that is currently taking shape. A new WrestleMania streak of the “Starboy” The Weeknd. This year at WrestleMania 40, The Weeknd’s song “Gasoline” from his album “Dawn FM” will be the theme song of WrestleMania, this will be the 5th in a row when a Weeknd’s song with a WrestleMania theme song, starting from the WrestleMania 36 for the first time.
Before The Weeknd came around and just blew away everything with the magic of music Flo Rida had the most songs on the WrestleMania charts with 3: “Wild Ones” featuring Sia (WM 28) and “My House” (WM 32). He was also on the track of “Green Light” by Pitbull (WM 33).
WrestleMania 36: Blinding Lights
Starting with the Blinding Lights from the Album “After Hours”. This was the first time a Weeknd song was the official theme song of WrestleMania. Blinding Lights set the tone for this year’s WrestleMania theme was a Pirate Ship Style. The song felt really good when hearing it for the first time. Although this year’s show was affected by the pandemic we still got that “This Is Awesome Vibes”.
WrestleMania 37: Save Your Tears
WrestleMania 37 was the second time a Weeknd song became the theme song of WrestleMania. This song was also from the Album “After Hours”. WWE fans finally got to see the big Pirate Ship being brought to the Raymond James Stadium.
This year finally WrestleMania was with the crowd in attendance after two years but the curse was not over as the rain interrupted the show. But boy when I say it might be not a curse I mean it because the scenes after the rain took WrestleMania to a whole other level. It almost felt like we were in the middle of a sea with rain and Strome just the theme for that year.
WrestleMania 38: Sacrifice
After delivering back to back 2 theme songs for the greatest show in all of the entertainment, The Weeknd came back again for the 3rd year in a row this time with a song from his newest album “Dawn FM”.
WrestleMania 39: Less Than Zero
Just when I thought that The Weeknd and WrestleMania era might be over he decided to come back with another theme song for The Greatest Spectacle in all of Entertainment, Only this he came back with my favorite song “Less Than Zero”.
Man, he stole the damn show with it.
WrestleMania 40: Gasoline
2024, WrestleMania 40.
The Biggest WrestleMania of all time, Perhaps The biggest storyline of all time.
In Philly, Just when I thought we could get anything better than this.
Guess What?
A tweet came from WWE:
I don’t know if this is the last time ever that we are gonna The GOAT “The Weeknd” with a WrestleMania theme song or if will he be back again next year. Just so you might not know, Weeknd is teasing about his next album which is rumored to be dropped this year.
That’s all for today.
