Hello everybody, with WrestleMania XL just 17 days away and the emotions are all-time high for the granddaddy of them all in Philly.
But before we get there let’s take a look at the BrainXPedia’s Top 10 WrestleMania Sets of all time. From 39 great jaw-dropping sets let’s see what made it to the top 10.
10: WrestleMania 9
The first one to make the list is the first-ever WrestleMania of the New Generation Era, although WrestleMania could be a little infamous for a lot of people I think the stage of this was quite ahead of time. If we look at the technologies we had at the time.
The official tagline for the show was “The World’s Largest Toga Party” and that is exactly what the theme of the show referred to as “Toga Party”.
A toga party is a Greco-Roman-themed costume party, wearing a garment inspired by ancient Roman clothing. We can see through the show, and who can forget the fact that Bobby Heenan arrived at the show of shows on a camel.
9: WrestleMania 22
This next WrestleMania set I think was played well this WrestleMania set had great vibes to it with a big stage with glass boxes.
But I think the thing that made it stand out to me was the posters of the WWE Superstars all around the arena.
8: WrestleMania 30
Next up on the list is the one WrestleMania that no one can forget about, The one night that changed the WWE right to its foundation.
The set for the show was inspired by the New Orleans Saints and also the fact that the city has about 47 Casinos, and the theme was a clear indication of that. Honestly, I kinda liked the theme.
7: WrestleMania 26
Who can forget this big boy, The Stage for WrestleMania XXVI was a resemblance of a “ziggurat”. The stage itself was a completely new design concept which was never been done before, the final look and feel of the was like a pyramid. And also the light and color of the show complement it.
6: WrestleMania 31
WrestleMania 31 had a very clean and modern look to its design, although the design of the set was a big surprise as the big play button that was placed in the center of the ring was the main symbol of that year’s logo itself.
The black and white color of the set stood out both burning the day and night. The stadium itself was a very great pick and everything about this show and the stage was just too balanced and good for the day.
5: WrestleMania 37
Next up we have on the list the most unlucky WrestleMania and WrestleMania set of all time. Honestly, if the pandemic had not happened this would have been one of the best WrestleMania and The Best WrestleMania set of all time.
The big pirate ship took the look of the stage to a whole level, This stage was worth the wait of two years. But you know that best was when the rain happened. Oh Boy! That one rain took the atmosphere of the show to a whole different level.
4: WrestleMania 38
Let’s go to the magic of WrestleMania. Honestly, I was in doubt and a little worried regarding this WrestleMania back in the day when it was announced. To me, it felt like mania that was just there for a filler to build up something bigger the next year but I was surely wrong.
This year’s stage was surely one of its kind, Man the atmosphere did feel like a big deal that night. Although we already seen stages with big WrestleMania logos this one was surely the best of them all. The colors and lighting just took it to a whole new level.
3: WrestleMania 25
WWE did deliver big for the Silver Anniversary of the showcase of immortals. The set for the WrestleMania 25 was the best one to that date. The big silver star on the top of the stage just made it look Awesome.
I wonder if this pretty boy planned to WrestleMania 25, about 10 years from today what will be in store for us when we hit WrestleMania 50?
2: WrestleMania 33
And now everyone’s favorite set, The stage 7 years till to the date is compared with any other stage that we get. This year’s set is surely the best one we have ever got to see. This year WrestleMania was featured as the “The Ultimate Thrill Ride”.
And for the stage, we could already see the essence of the set on the official WrestleMania 33 poster. The stage portrayed an Amusement Park which looked great.
If you think that it, Then let me tell you the thing that took away the hearts of hardcore WWE fans like myself.
The set featured a big artificial ring above the ring as the ring roof. That was something that took it to the GOAT level.
Special Mention: WrestleMania 35
To some people, the WrestleMania 35 set was just a big screen, and creative like we are used to seeing the biggest stage of them all. But to me it looked fine, The main thing that looked good to me was the use of colors and lighting it was just magical.
As the show went on to the night, That light alone just made the scenes look spectacular.
Love it, or Hate it. But I think this was a thing of beauty.
1: WrestleMania 29
And now for that last set, The one I think is arguably the best in history. I know a lot of people might say the 33 had the best set. Yes, you are right but to pull off a set like this in 2013 was just crazy.
The Brooklyn Bridge at the stage and the Statue of Liberty on the ring roof felt like we were having a WrestleMania in New York.
