With just one week removed from WrestleMania 41, WWE Raw has headed to T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, MO, as we now gear up for WWE Backlash.
Seth Rollins, Paul Heyman, and Bron Breakker Kick Off WWE Raw
Seth Rollins kicked off WWE Raw alongside Paul Heyman and Bron Breakker, where he got interrupted by Sami Zayn. Zayn talked about how Rollins was just jealous of both Reigns and Punk, and the fact that now he has placed himself in the same position where Reigns was a year ago, alongside Heyman.
Rollins then told Zayn that he can tell him by the end of the night if he is either joining them or leaving for WWE SmackDown.

Rhea Ripley vs. Roxanne Perez
Roxanne Perez and Giulia both attacked both Iyo Sky and Stephanie Vaquer last week here on WWE Raw, causing their singles match to end via disqualification win for Sky. Rhea Ripley then arrived on the scene to help both Sky and Vaquer, leading to a singles match between Ripley and Perez.
Ripley and Perez had a pretty even match until Giulia decided to show up on the ringside, which created a distraction for Ripley and allowed Perez to take advantage. She then attacked Ripley as she closed in on victory, causing the match to end via disqualification.
Perez and Giulia then continued to attack Ripley before Sky arrived on the scene and tried to take them both out with a little assist from Ripley as well, who made them both run away.
Result: Rhea Ripley defeated Roxanne Perez via disqualification

Jey Uso meets Logan Paul
After defeating AJ Styles at WrestleMania 41, Logan Paul arrived on WWE Raw and began trash-talking about Jey Uso. Paul then called out Jey, saying he wants his World Heavyweight Championship. Jey then arrived on the scene, saying he won’t just hand over his hard-earned championship to a YouTuber.
Paul then continued to trash-talk Jey before he hit him with a superkick.

The War Raiders vs. The Judgment Day
WWE Raw then featured a tag team match between Finn Balor and JD McDonagh versus Ivar and Erik, with the New Day as special guest commentators.
Balor and McDonagh delivered an impressive performance until Penta arrived on the scene and cost them the match, allowing Ivar and Erik to pick up the win.
Result: The War Raiders defeated The Judgment Day

Key Notes and Observations:
- Paul Heyman met Sami Zayn in a backstage segment, saying if he joins Seth Rollins and agrees to a trade to SmackDown, he will get a confirmed chance to face the winner of Randy Orton vs. John Cena for the Undisputed WWE Championship.
Becky Lynch meets Lyra Valkyria
After turning on her friend Lyra Valkyria last here on WWE Raw, Becky Lynch arrived on the show saying that she was the one who attacked Bayley. She blamed Bayley for attacking her since 2019, saying that Valkyria would have never won the tag team championships at WrestleMania 41 if Bayley was her partner.
Valkyria then also arrived on the scene saying she would make her pay for what she did to her and Bayley. She then challenged Lynch to match at WWE Backlash, saying she is even putting her Women’s Intercontinental Championship on the line against her. Lynch accepted the challenge before Valkyria attacked her.

- Penta met GM Nick Aldis backstage, who told him that he would be facing JD McDonagh next week. Penta also attacked Chad Gable after he trash-talked about him and his brother.
Stephanie Vaquer vs. Ivy Nile
NXT’s Stephanie Vaquer then faced Ivy Nile in a singles match while Chad Gable tried to interfere from the ringside. But nothing really worked out for Nile as Vaquer managed to pick up the win after an amazing match.
Result: Stephanie Vaquer defeated Ivy Nile

- AJ Styles met GM Nick Aldis backstage, where the Judgment Day also came in as Dominik Mysterio requested some time off but insisted put himself in a match against Styles.
Pat McAfee addresses his ongoing situation with Gunther
After losing his championship at WrestleMania 41 to Jey Uso, Gunther attacked both Michael Cole and Pat McAfee last week here on WWE Raw, creating chaos all over the commentary team.
McAfee addressed the situation saying if anyone has a problem with Cole they also have a problem with him. He then called out GM Nick Aldis and asked him for a match against Gunther. Aldis proposed a singles match between McAfee and Gunther at WWE Backlash, which he accepted.

- Logan Paul attempted a sneak attack on Jey Uso backstage after his meeting with Sami Zayn.
Sami Zayn vs. Bron Breakker
Seth Rollins then called out Sami Zayn to the ring to make his big decision, saying that Zayn is putting him in a very difficult position. Rollins told Zayn that if he doesn’t join him and decides to stay here on WWE Raw, bad things are going to happen to him.
Zayn replied saying he would not be threatened and he would become the WWE Champion on his own, the right way. He then told Rollins that he could go to hell.
Bron Breakker then arrived on the scene as the singles match between Zayn and Breakker began. Zayn tried to bring the fight, but got laid out to the utter brutality of Breakker. Rollins also hit Zayn with a stomp after the match.
Result: Bron Breakker defeated Sami Zayn

My thoughts on this week’s edition of WWE Raw:
WWE Raw delivered an amazing episode this week, making big and important progress towards the upcoming WWE Backlash PLE. The show delivered amazing matches from both the Men’s and Women’s divisions.
The match card for the WWE Backlash is well under way and it certainly looks like WWE has plotted big-time storylines over the WrestleMania 41 weekend, which will unfold in the coming weeks and months.
