The WrestleMania 41 is on the horizon, but before we get there WWE Raw on Netflix has headed to the most famous arena in the whole world known as Madison Square Garden in New York, NY.
Announced in advance of Monday’s show:
- Jey Uso vs. Grayson Waller
- AJ Styles calls out Logan Paul
- CM Punk battles Seth Rollins in a Steel Cage match
- Rey Mysterio and Dragon Lee vs. The New Day in a Tornado Tag Team match
Jey Uso vs. Grayson Waller
Jey Uso took out Grayson Waller with a Superkick on the Feb. 24th edition of WWE Raw in a backstage segment when trash-talked Jey — saying that he would embarrass himself in the match against Gunther at WrestleMania 41. And then last week here on WWE Raw when Jey came to help Otis and Akira Tozawa from a beat down by Gunther — Waller and Austin Theory attacked Jey allowing Gunther to take advantage and choke out Jey.
Theory at the ringside tried to interfere in the match a few times — trying to help his buddy Waller win the match but nothing really worked out for them as Jey took them both out and pinned Walller to win the match.
Theory and Waller attacked Jey after the match but took them both out. Meanwhile, Gunther once again attacked Jey from the blindside and choked him out.
Result: Jey Uso defeated Grayson Waller
Ratings: 7 /10
Key Notes and Observation:
- Gunther using the sleeper hold on Jey might be a major plot for their WrestleMania 41 match.
Logan Paul meets AJ Styles on WWE Raw
Logan Paul then arrived on WWE Raw and began to trash-talk the New York fans and also attacked the comedian Andrew Schulz before AJ Styles arrived on the scene.
Styles took out Paul and had a little moment with Schulz.
Rey Mysterio and Dragon Lee vs. The New Day – Tornado Tag Team match
Rey Mysterio has had problems with both Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods ever since they turned their back on Big E. LWO came after New Day on the Feb. 17th edition of WWE Raw, for attacking Rey Mysterio a week prior to that in his singles match against Logan Paul. The match was made official last week here on WWE Raw on Netflix. They now collide in a Tornado Tag Team match, looking to settle their differences against each other.
All four men delivered an incredible performance in the match, putting fans in a position to wonder who was going to come out on top. The Tornado Tag Team rules added more fun and drama to the match. Chad Gable also arrived on the scene wearing a Lucha mask as he cost Mysterio and Lee the match.
Result: The New Day defeated Rey Mysterio and Dragon Lee
Ratings: 7 /10
Backstage segment ft. The Judgment Day
WWE Raw on Netflix then went backstage where Dominik Mysterio told Finn Balor that he had got him a match against Bron Breakker for the WWE Men’s Intercontinental Championship next week on WWE Raw after Breakker took him out last week here on WWE Raw.
Cody Rhodes arrives at Madison Square Garden on WWE Raw
WWE Undisputed Champion Cody Rhodes then arrived on WWE Raw and immediately took the shot at his WrestleMania 41 opponent John Cena. Rhodes said that Cena is now being delusional about his 17th World Championship.
Rhodes also highlighted on Cena’s scheduled appearance on the WWE Raw next week in Belgium. There was nothing too much in the promo segment, but we might see Cena and Rhodes meet face-to-face next week here on WWE Raw on Netflix.
Ratings: 8 /10
Bayley vs. Raquel Rodriguez – No.1 Contenders match for the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship
Two womens who are now looking to rise once again in their division by becoming the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion now met in a singles match to determine the next No.1 Contender.
Liv Morgan and Dominik Mysterio kept trying to interfere in the match from the ringside. This 3-on-1 advantage allowed Rodriguez to win the match and become the new No.1 Contender for the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship.
Result: Raquel Rodriguez defeated Bayley to become the new No.1 Contender for the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship
Ratings: 6.5 /10
Backstage interview segment ft. Chad Gable
After costing Rey Mysterio and Dragon Lee their Tornado Tag Team match earlier on the show, Chad Gable appeared in an interview segment saying that it wasn’t him who cost Mysterio and Lee the match.
Meanwhile, a group of security personnel were seen in the background escorting a person with a Luca mask outside the building.
Interview segment ft. Iyo Sky, Bianca Belair, and Rhea Ripley
After winning the Women’s World Championship last week here on WWE Raw. Iyo Sky along with her WrestleMania 41 opponent Bianca Belair joined Michael Cole for an interview segment inside the squared circle.
Cole raised a strong point about how last week’s match ended, the fact that Belair cost Rhea Ripley her championship before she arrived on the scene as well.
Ripley and Belair then began firing shots at each other which made Sky angry as she slapped both of them and left the ring.
CM Punk vs. Seth Rollins – Steel Cage match
CM Punk and Seth Rollins have been a rivalry since the moment when Punk made his return to WWE at Survivor Series 2023. Punk and Rollins had their first singles match against each other WWE Raw debut on Netflix — where Punk walked out as the winner. Punk and Rollins then crossed paths at the 2025 Men’s WWE Royal Rumble match — where they eliminated themself in a highly controversial way. Rollins and Punk were also in the 2025 Men’s Elimination Chamber match — where Punk eliminated Rollins before he stomped into the steel allowing Cena to win the match.
This Steel Cage match was made official last week here on WWE Raw after Rollins and Punk kicked off the show with a brawl.
Both Rollins and Punk tore the house down during the match. An absolute banger that ended with the arrival of Roman Reigns — who pulled Rollins out of the cage ending the match in a victory for him. Reigns then broke havoc on Rollins before GM Adam Pearce arrived and stopped Reigns who then turned his attention to Punk inside the cage. Meanwhile, Paul Heyman was already inside the cage as Reigns began the beatdown on Punk.
Result: Seth Rollins defeated CM Punk
Ratings: 10 /10
Key Notes and Observation:
- CM Punk walked into the match 4-0 at Madison Square Garden in her career.
- Seth Rollins made his WWE debut at Madison Square Garden alongside The Shield.

My thoughts on this week’s edition of WWE Raw
WWE took this week’s edition of WWE Raw to Madison Square Garden and delivered the most awaited storyline turns for the WrestleMania 41. WWE progressed on the Jey and Gunther storyline while adding Grayson Waller and Austin Theory to the mix as well. It would be interesting to see if Waller and Theory help Gunther a bit more in the coming weeks while the Alpha Academy keeps trying to assist Jey.
WWE also moved forward with The New Day’s heel angle. It was a really big decision to make Kofi and Woods turn heel but if WWE doesn’t really invest in this in the coming weeks it might not go well with the fans, and might eventually lose interest in the storyline. Raquel Rodriguez has also jumped into the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship picture. I wonder how would that end for Judgement Day if she lost her match.
WWE made headlines this week with the return of Roman Reigns — who attacked both Seth Rollins and CM Punk during their Steel Cage match. I think that WWE has made the decision to go with the Punk, and Rollins and Reigns for the WrestleMania 41. If that is the case I’m in.
WWE fans have been buzzing about the fact that it does not feel like WrestleMania. Is it still the same?
My Ratings for the show: 10 /10
