WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event XXXVII is an upcoming WWE PLE set to take place on December 14, 2024, at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum on Long Island, N.Y. This is also the place where the first-ever Saturday Night’s Main Event took place in May 1985.
“Women’s World Champion” Liv Morgan battles Iyo Sky on WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event XXXVII
Liv Morgan wrote her path to becoming the Women’s World Champion when she took out the former women’s world champion Rhea Ripley after a backstage attack, she now has her hands full of challengers looking to get their shot at the Women’s World Championship. Raw General Manager Adam Pearce announced a Battle Royal to kick off the Nov 4th edition of Monday Night Raw.
Iyo Sky emerged victorious in the Battle Royal, which made her the No.1 Contender for Liv Morgan’s Women’s World Championship. Sky later joined Bayley, Rhea Ripley, Naomi, and Bianca Belair at the 2024 Survivor Series: WarGames, where her team won the Women’s WarGames match.
The Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan along with her buddy Raquel Rodriguez from “The Judgment Day” also had a tag-team match against the team of Iyo Sky and Kairi Sane “Damage CTRL” on the Dec. 2 Episode of WWE Raw which Morgan and Rodriguez won.
WWE has been pushing Liv Morgan a lot ever since she took out Rhea Ripley and kicked her out of The Judgment Day along with her buddy Damian Priest. I think one way or another, Liv will somehow manage to get away with the championship at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event XXXVII.
My Prediction: Liv Morgan
Gunther Vs Finn Bálor Vs Damian Priest – World Heavyweight Championship
Finn Bálor has been trying to block the paths of Damian Priest ever since WWE SummerSlam 2024 when he cost him his World Heavyweight Championship to Gunther. Bálor a former ally of Priest and Ripley, is not leaving any opportunity to keep them both down and away from the Championship gold.
Bálor also made his presence felt at the 2024 Survivor Series: WarGames between Gunther and Priest to help Gunther retain his championship, but Gunther who is trying to prove himself as one of the best ever to do it did not take it as a favor and delivered a boot to the face of Bálor before pinning Priest to retain his World Heavyweight Championship.
During the Dec 2nd episode of WWE Raw, Bálor once again attacked Gunther after his match against Dominik Mysterio, Finn delivered a few more shots of Coup de Grâce, mocking Mysterio saying: “Watch and learn kid.”
Later on the following week on the Dec 9th episode of WWE Raw, Raw General Manager Adam Pearce officially added Finn Bálor to the World Heavyweight Championship match, making it a Triple Threat match.
I don’t see Gunther losing the World Heavyweight Championship to anyone any soon. I think the Ring General could lose the championship at Elimination Chamber or at the WrestleMania 41, but not before that.
My Prediction: Gunther
Sami Zayn battles Drew McIntyre at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event XXVII
On the Dec 2nd episode of WWE Raw, The show began with all-out chaos between Rollins and Punk. Rollins who has been friends with both Zayn and Jey was angry about the fact that they joined the team with Roman Reigns.
Zayn and Rollins then had a singles match in the main event of WWE Raw, where Rollins defeated Zayn. Drew McIntyre attacked Zayn with the Claymore after the match ended.
Later on the Dec 9th episode of WWE Raw, Zayn announced that he now has talked to the “Raw General Manager” Adam Pearce and he will now go in a one-on-one match against Drew McIntyre on WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event XXXVII. As of now, McIntyre has accepted the challenge and both superstars are now set to meet each other at the WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event.
McIntyre is on a mission after whatever went down between him and Punk over the course of the last few months. I think that Drew McIntyre will easily be able to win this match.
My Prediction: Drew McIntyre

My Prediction: Chelsea Green
Cody Rhodes defends his Undisputed WWE Championship against Kevin Owens at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event XXXVII
Cody Rhodes made allies with Kevin Owens to battle with the Bloodline and dethrone Roman Reigns at WrestleMania XL. Rhodes even offered Owens a shot at the Undisputed WWE Championship at the WWE Bash In Berlin. After retaining the championship in an epic battle against Kevin Owen, Cody decided to team with the returning OTC Roman Reigns at WWE Bad Blood (2024) PLE against The New Bloodline of Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu in a Tag Team match.
After winning the match when Cody Rhodes was leaving the arena, Owens decided to attack him in the parking lot. Fans who were present at the venue saw it all happen in front of them. Randy Orton who is good friends with both Owens and Rhodes decided to take the matter into his and make peace between both of them.
Filled with anger over the fact that his friend betrayed him by teaming up with the returning Roman Regins, Owens also attacked Orton and delivered an illegal piledriver — a maneuver that has been banned in the WWE.
On the Dec 6th episode of WWE SmackDown, Owens once again attacked Rhodes after his epic match against Chad Gable. Both of them are now set to face each other at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event XXXVII with the Undisputed WWE Championship on the line.
Rhodes and Owens had one final face-off on the Dec. 13 episode of WWE SmackDown ahead of their match.
My Prediction: “The American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes
Surprise at the WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event XXXVII:
WWE has also uploaded a video on YouTube, in which Triple H is being seen along with the “American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes. Triple H told Rhodes that the whole theme of this PLE is going to be retro. Triple H also pointed to the return of Jesse Ventura.
There has been a lot of speculation going on that WWE is planning to bring back the iconic “WWE Winged Eagle Championship” for one night. If that happens we might see Cody Rhodes walking into his match wearing that.
My Thoughts on WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event XXXVII:
WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event XXXVII is set to make its return after 16 years, with a bunch of epic matches and moments in store. WWE will be bringing a lot of moments and memories from the 80s and 90s.
I have been a WWE fan for about 17 years now, and I have never been able to experience this event in my life so far. To see all of the current superstars bring this old-school event to life would be nothing else than Awwwwesome!
Let me know what you think about the return of WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event XXXVII, and what are looking forward to most in the show.
