John Cena meets Cody Rhodes on WWE Raw
John Cena kicked off WWE Raw as he came down to the ring while the WWE Universe chanted “John Cena Sucks” in rhythm with his theme song. Cena also made that same dead walk, which is totally opposite to how he used to come down to the ring.
He started talking trash to fans in attendance and then talked about that little fan from last week before they started chanting “F**k You Cena” and “Shut the F**k Up”. Cena talked about how WWE fans always told them what they wanted. And now that he knows that he said: “I am going to ruin wrestling for every fan, for every wrestler, for everyone.”
Cena also said, “At WrestleMania, I make history by winning a 17th championship.” He then also stated that he would force the fans to forget the name of Ric Flair and his name will be remembered forever. Cena also said, “I will win that championship and retire with it.”
Cody Rhodes then came out to the ring and laid out the Undisputed Championship in front of Cena before he walked away.

The Usos vs. A-Town Down Under
Jey Uso has been dealing with a little two-on-one situation with Austin Theory and Grayson Waller for a few weeks. Jey also defeated Waller on the Mar. 10th edition of WWE Raw and Theory on the Mar. 17th edition of WWE Raw. After both these matches if was attacked by his WrestleMania 41 opponent Gunther, this could clearly be a sign of A-Town Down Under working for the ring general. Jey now has a partner in the form of his twin brother Jimmy Uso as they now battle Theory and Waller in a tag team match.
Although Jimmy and Jey have not been in a tag team action for about a year now, they definitely told Theory and Waller why they are known as one of the best tag teams in the history of WWE.

Gunther attacked both the Usos after the match before Jimmy took out a steel and made Gunther retreat.
Result: The Usos defeated A-Town Down Under
Ratings: 7 /10
Backstage segment ft. LWO and Chad Gable on WWE Raw
Chad Gable then met Rey Mysterio and Dragon Lee backstage saying that he was sick today and Lee should take on the new guy — referencing his new lucha character “El Grande Americano”. Lee then accepted the challenge.

Lyra Valkyria (c) vs. Raquel Rodriguez – Women’s Intercontinental Championship
Raquel Rodriguez defeated Bayley on the Mar. 10th edition of WWE Raw to become the No.1 Contender match for the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship leading to this match.
Valkyria and Rodriguez went on to put up an awesome match filled with amazing spots and close counts. Liv Morgan on the ringside also tried to interfere in the match but nothing really worked out as Valkyria took them both out to win the match and retain her championship after a roll-up cover on Rodriguez.

Morgan and Rodriguez attacked Lyra Valkyria after the match before Bayley arrived on the scene to save her.
The match had some good spots but very less. Bayley coming to help Valkyria was a good thing to see, as she now earns the respect of a veteran like her.
Result: Lyra Valkyria (c) defeated Raquel Rodriguez to retain her Women’s Intercontinental Championship
Ratings: 6 /10
Backstage segment ft. The Usos on WWE Raw
Jimmy Uso then met his brother Jey Uso backstage saying he wanted him to reignite the fire that made him the Main event Jey and also made him win the Royal Rumble. Jimmy then challenged Gunther to a match next week with a little smack on his face.

Women’s World Championship hangs in the balance
Former Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley attacked both Iyo Sky and Bianca Belair during their WrestleMania contract signing last week here on WWE Raw. She also put her name on the dotted line after that, which has created more problems for GM Adam Pearce to address.
Pearce began the conversation saying just because Rhea Ripley has signed on the contract does not mean she is in the match. He also stated that Ripley owes a rematch but she can’t have it on her time since she did not win the 2025 Women’s Elimination Chamber match. Sky then arrived on the scene saying she doesn’t care about fighting them both. Belair then came out too saying that since she won the Elimination Chamber, she would now allow Ripley to get into her match at WrestleMania.
Rhea Ripley then arrived on the scene saying she doesn’t care about WrestleMania and all she wants is her rematch. Pearce then announced a Women’s World Championship rematch between Iyo Sky (c) and Rhea Ripley for next week here on WWE Raw on Netflix.
Sky, Belair, and Ripley then got into a little fight with Belair standing on top this time.

Backstage segment ft. New Day and Bianca Belair

Bianca Belair then met with GM Adam Pearce who told him that she would be the special guest referee for the Women’s World Championship match next here on WWE Raw.

Dragon Lee vs. El Grande Americano aka Chad Gable
This new on-screen dual personality character by Chad Gable looks way more interesting to me than the master Gable. Gable has added more Lucha-style maneuvers to his arsenal. He still picked up the win using his ankle lock, which was really funny. Americano also pulled off Lee’s lucha mask to help him pick up this win.
Result: El Grande Americano defeated Dragon Lee
Ratings: 7 /10
Key Notes and Observation:
- This new music theme looks good to me I think it’s kinda funny and reminds me of Hornswoggle.

CM Punk arrives on WWE Raw
After getting into a fight with both Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns on this past edition of WWE SmackDown. CM Punk arrived on WWE Raw to talk about his upcoming triple-threat match with Reigns and Rollins now set for WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas.
Punk unveiled the upcoming contract signing set to happen this Friday at WWE SmackDown. He called out both Rollins and Reigns saying neither of them has ever defeated him without the help of the other. He then talked about how he bought Reigns and Rollins into the WWE, mentioning the debut of the Shield.

Bron Breakker (c) vs. Penta – Men’s Intercontinental Championship
Bron Breakker then appeared in an interview segment before the match saying he doesn’t care if Penta decides to join the Judgment Day. Breakker said he would beat him tonight as he made his way into the arena for the Men’s Intercontinental Championship match. Dominik Mysterio and Carlito also arrived on the ringside during the match, causing interference in the match.

Mysterio later jumped into the ring causing the match to end via disqualification. Finn Bálor also attacked Breakker after the match with a steel chair. Mysterio then gave the steel chair to Penta and asked him to attack Breakker and join the Judgement Day but instead, he hit Mysterio with the chair and a superkick.

Bálor then continued to attack both Breakker and Penta as Judgement Day stood tall.
Result: Bron Breakker (c) defeated Penta via DQ to retain his Men’s Intercontinental Championship
Ratings: 7.5 /10

My thoughts on this week’s edition of WWE Raw:
It seems to me that WWE had a clear plan of elevating the championship match cards for WrestleMania. Both the Men’s and Women’s World Championship cards were in full focus as we now potentially heading for another triple-threat match at WrestleMania 41. Yes, you guessed that right. I think that next week’s match between Iyo Sky and Rhea Ripley will not have a clear winner.
WWE also put the highlight on both the Men’s and Women’s Intercontinental Championships this week. Both of the champions retained their respective championship after incredible matches. We still have not found the official matches for the mid-card championships such as Intercontinental, Tag Team, and US Championship across both the Raw and SmackDown. Would WWE shift focus on that in the coming is soon to be found out.
My Ratings for the show: 8 /10
