WWE Bash in Berlin is an upcoming WWE PLE set to take place on Saturday, August 31, 2024, at the Uber Arena in Berlin, Germany.
Ever since Triple H took over the WWE along with Nick Khan on his side WWE has been appreciating the global audience a lot lately for their interest in the product and also the energy they bring to the arenas along with them.
WWE has also announced that the final Friday Night SmackDown before the WWE Bash in Berlin will also be airing from the same arena on August 30th.
But before we get to that I want to share with you everything you need to know related to the match card and storylines for this upcoming PLE along with my predictions for the show.
WWE Bash in Berlin Match Card: Quick Hits

Gunther (c) vs. Randy Orton – World Heavyweight Championship “Winner will stay on Raw and the loser will go to SmackDown”
Two months ago at the King and Queen of the Ring PLE in May, Gunther and Orton squared off in the Finals of the King of the Ring tournament which Gunthar won and earned himself a shot at the World Heavyweight Championship at SummerSlam where he defeated the former champion Damian Priest.
But when Gunther defeated Orton at King and Queen of the Ring his shoulders were not on the mat while the referee counted the pin. Triple H then made a statement saying that what happened in the ring could not be changed and the referee’s decision was final.
On the Raw after SummerSlam Orton marched his way to the ring and announced that the Raw General Manager Adam Pearce had granted him a championship opportunity against Gunthasr at Bash in Berlin with a stipulation that said the winner would stay on Raw and the loser would be going to SmackDown.
Gunther agreed to the match right away on Raw. As the WWE Bash in Berlin is at the very end of the month WWE will be working on developing this storyline in the coming weeks and I will be updating you guys as well.

Cody Rhodes (c) vs. Kevin Owens – Undisputed WWE Championship at WWE Bash in Berlin
After successfully retaining his championship against the self-proclaimed “Tribal Chief” Solo Sikoa at SummerSlam, Rhodes once again found himself standing against the bloodline as Sikoa wanted a rematch and was willing to unleash an attack on him. It was Owens who once again showed up to help Cody stand up against the new and extremely mean Bloodline.
After they stood up to make the Bloodline retreat, Rhodes asked Owens to face him for his Undisputed WWE Championship but refused to it by saying that he had not earned it due to his recent win/loss record.
Rhodes then took it to the SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis to make the match official saying that he knows a lot of reasons why KO deserves this opportunity. Despite Owens’s objection to face Rhodes, SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis made the match official.
I honestly think that Kevin Owens deserves this opportunity more than anyone in the locker room if we see how much he has done for the company in recent years.
Damian Priest & Rhea Ripley vs. “Dirty” Dominik Mysterio & Liv Morgan (Mixed Tag Team Match)
The entire WWE Universe was in shock as we witnessed the demise of Judgment Day when Dom helped Liv Morgan against Rhea Ripley and Finn Bálor betrayed his best friend Damian Priest and cost him the World Heavyweight Championship. Things went from bad to worst really quickly that night as Dominik kissed Morgan in front of Reha after costing her the match.
On the following episode of Raw, Fin officially announced the new Judgment Day stable as he added Morgan and Carlito. On that same night, Priest was attacked during his match against JD McDonagh where Rhea Ripley showed up to help her friend.
A mixed tag team match has now been made official between the team of Priest and Ripley “Terror Twins” against Mysterio and Morgan at Bash in Berlin.
As I had previously stated in my WWE SummerSlam 2024 Pre-Show article, this new storyline angle between Rhea Ripley & Liv Morgan and now the whole Judgement Day is just getting started. We have seen how WWE is nowadays working on developing long-term storylines just like this one, this certainly means we are up for a big treat in the coming months.

CM Punk vs. Drew McIntyre “Strap Match”
“The Second City Saint” CM Punk made his long-awaited return to WWE, only to get injured during the 2024 Royal Rumble Match. Ever since his return to WWE, two men “Drew McIntyre and Seth Rollins” were totally not happy with that.
CM Punk then entered the 2024 Royal Rumble Match, where he injured himself and was out of action for the next few months. McIntyre repeatedly mentioned Punk on TV, saying that he prayed for this to happen to him.
At WrestleMania XL, CM Punk who was in a comentarty attacked McIntyre moments after he won the World Heavyweight Championship from Seth “Freakin” Rollins. That was not all, as Punk once again cost McIntrye a shot at the World Heavyweight Championship when he interfered in his Money in the Bank cash-in.
The two were scheduled to face each other at WWE SummerSlam 2024 with Seth “Freakin” Rollins as the special guest referee. CM Punk lost the match to McIntyre as he was clearly distracted throughout the match between McIntyre and Rollins. The main reason why happened was that McIntyre had stolen Punk’s bracelet that had the name of his wife (AJ Lee) and dog (Larry) written on it.
During their match at WWE SummerSlam 2024, Rollins picked up that bracelet from the mat as he was just trying to do his “Referee Job”, Punk got himself distracted between the two, which allowed McIntyre to pick up the win.
Punk then unleashed an attack on McIntyre with a belt on the Aug. 12 episode of Raw, which led to a strap match between the two at the WWE Bash in Berlin.
I think that adding this “Strap Match” stipulation to this epic rivalry is a brilliant decision, two men who hate each other more than anything in this world, and they are tied up against each other. Holly Shit, They will tear the house down at Bash in Berlin.

After delivering a record-breaking SummerSlam, WWE is all ready to blow away the international audience once again like they did in France.
