2024 was without a shadow of a doubt one of the best years for WWE in recent memory. The company produced content that will remembered for ages to come. If we talk about the WWE PLEs from 2024, nearly every show was filled with exciting matches and moments.
WWE also brought back iconic shows like WWE Bad Blood 2024 and delivered stellar matches at Survivor Series: WarGames, WWE Backlash France (2024), and of course who can forget about the magic of WrestleMania XL.
Today I’m going to be ranking all the WWE PLEs from 2024 from worst to good and absolutely legendary.
13. WWE Crown Jewel 2024
After years of booking just random shows by bringing WWE Legends, WWE has now finally started to book matches that make some sense in terms of storyline.
Once upon a time, WWE used to deliver very strange match cards for their Saudi Show. The shows used to be filled with all the top-tier WWE Superstars from the past, and many WWE Hall of Famers used to be on the just to give Saudi fans a chance to see their favorite WWE Superstars live. WWE Superstars like Shawn Michaels, Triple H, The Undertaker, Goldberg and so many more were a part of these events. The storylines for the Saudi shows were not so deeply built as they were used to be developed 2 or 3 weeks prior to the show.
But, now I can certainly say that things have improved a lot in recent memory. WWE is now putting up shows that make sense in today’s wrestling world, rather than just a stadium show looking like an upgraded version of WWE Live Events.
| No. | Match Card and Results for WWE Crown Jewel 2024 | Stipulations/ Matches Type | Matches Duration |
| 1. | Solo Sikoa, Jacob Fatu, and Tama Tonga w/ Tonga Loa “The New Bloodline” def The OG Bloodline Roman Reigns and The Usos (Jey Uso and Jimmy Uso) | Six-man tag team match | 16:35 |

| 6. | Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes def World Heavyweight Champion Gunther | Singles match to crown the first-ever WWE Crown Jewel Champion | 23:00 |
12. WWE Clash at the Castle: Scotland
WWE tried to put up a few really incredible matches, but the show mainly used to buildup
the ongoing rivalry between Drew McIntyre and CM Punk
The next show on our list of worst to best WWE PLEs from 2024 is the WWE Clash at the Castle: Scotland. This was WWE’s second Clash PLE, following the 2022 event that took place in Cardiff, Wales. Drew McIntyre main-evented the show along with Damian Priest as they collided for the World Heavyweight Championship.
Cody Rhodes and Aj Styles opened the show with an “I Quit match” following up with this was a Triple threat tag team match for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship. The show had five matches on the card, with all of them being championship matches.
I personally liked the “I Quit” match between Aj Styles and Cody Rhodes a lot. Their rivalry was also pretty epic with references to Dusty Rhodes and Dustin Rhodes. Sami Zayn and Chad Gable also delivered a pretty impressive Singles match for the WWE Intercontinental Championship.
But Drew McIntyre losing a World Heavyweight Championship match in his homeland due to interference by CM Punk was literally crazy to see, which led to setting up future matches between them.
| No. | Match Card and Results for WWE Clash at the Castle: Scotland | Stipulations/ Matches Type | Matches Duration |
| 1. | Cody Rhodes (c) def AJ Styles | “I Quit” match for the Undisputed WWE Championship | 27:45 |

| 5. | Damian Priest (c) def Drew McIntyre via pinfall | Singles match for the World Heavyweight Championship | 20:20 |
11. WWE Bash in Berlin ranking in WWE PLEs from 2024
The PLE featured a few good matches on the card. The Strap match on the show was a major highlight for me. I really liked how WWE slowly built the trilogy between CM Punk and Drew McIntyre.
WWE Bash in Berlin took place right after the 2024 WWE SummerSlam PLE, where Gunther became the New World Heavyweight Champion. Randy Orton was granted a match for the World Heavyweight Championship against Gunther because of the referee’s false decision during the Finals of the King and Queen of the Ring tournament.
WWE also developed an Undisputed WWE Championship match between Rhodes and Owens. Rhodes wanted to say thank you to Owens for standing against the Bloodline for the last few years and also at WrestleMania XL, got the match approved if though Owens didn’t want to fight him.
My favorite matches from this that I will remember for a lot of time were the Undisputed WWE Championship and World Heavyweight Championship. Punk and Drew also deliver a very barbaric Srap match which took a lot of attention with their heating rivalry. This match between Punk and McIntyre was the second match of their rivalry.
| No. | Match Card and Results for WWE Bash in Berlin | Stipulations/ Matches Type | Matches Duration |
| 1. | Cody Rhodes (c) def Kevin Owens | Singles match for the Undisputed WWE Championship | 23:16 |
| 2. | Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill def Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn “The Unholy Union” (c) | Tag team match for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship | 12:02 |
| 3. | CM Punk def Drew McIntyre | Strap match | 19:15 |
| 4. | Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley “The Terror Twins” def “Dirty” Dominik Mysterio and Liv Morgan “The Judgment Day” | Mixed tag team match | 14:20 |
| 5. | Gunther (c) def Randy Orton via submission | Singles match for the World Heavyweight Championship | 34:28 |
10. WWE King and Queen of the Ring (2024)
There is nothing particular that I really like about this PLE besides Liv Morgan becoming the
Women’s World Champion. But I really liked this new idea of both King and Queen of the Ring getting a shot at the Championship at SummerSlam
WWE King and Queen of the Ring tournaments are something that WWE fans are very familiar with over the years. But this year WWE announced that the winners of their respective tournaments will get a shot at the World Heavyweight Championship at WWE SummerSlam 2024.
WWE conducted two tournaments on WWE Raw and WWE SmackDown, for both men’s and women’s divisions leading up to this show where finals were held. Cody Rhodes and Logan Paul delivered an epic match for the Undisputed WWE Championship. Gunther and Randy Orton also delivered a 20 Mins+ banger which unfortunately ended with a false count. This led to a rematch between the two at the WWE Bash in Berlin PLE.
| No. | Match Card and Results WWE King and Queen of the Ring (2024) | Stipulations/ Matches Type | Matches Duration |
| 1. | Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill (c) def Candice LeRae and Indi Hartwell | Tag team match for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship | 8:05 |

| 6. | Cody Rhodes (c) def Logan Paul via pinfall | Singles match for the Undisputed WWE Championship | 24:20 |
9. WWE Elimination Chamber: Perth (2024)
WWE Elimination Chamber 2024 could be the beginning of something really incredible but it did not happen. I think if Liv Morgan had won the Elimination Chamber match, that could be a perfect start to follow up on her ongoing story with Rhea Ripley.
This year WWE took the annual Elimination Chamber PLE to Optus Stadium in Perth, Australia. WWE held two Elimination Chamber matches, each of the men’s and women’s divisions. Becky Lynch won the Women’s Elimination Chamber — earning herself a shot at the Women’s World Championship against Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania XL. Drew McIntyre also won the Men’s Elimination Chamber match, which finally led to him setting a shot at the World Heavyweight Championship in front of the fans in attendance.
It was a big day for Rhea Ripley as she successfully defended her Women’s World Championship in her home in front of her family and friends against Nia Jax. The match car was kinda okay with no big stuff leading, besides setting up the match card for the WrestleMania XL.
| No. | Match Card and Results for WWE Elimination Chamber: Perth (2024) | Stipulations/ Matches Type | Matches Duration |
| 1. | Asuka and Kairi Sane “The Kabuki Warriors” (c) def Candice LeRae and Indi Hartwell via pinfall | Tag team match for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship | 8:55 |

| 5. | Rhea Ripley (c) def Nia Jax | Singles match for the Women’s World Championship | 14:35 |
8. WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event XXXVII
WWE made some really good bookings for the return of this PLE. Chelsea Green becoming the
Women’s US Champion was exactly what the women’s division needed. WWE also pushed the Rhodes and Owens rivalry one step further, in a really incredible way that no one had thought about.
The return of WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event part of WWE PLE’s from 2024 was honestly really good to see. For the first time since August 2008, WWE fans finally got to see this awesome classic show. WWE went all retro for this PLE. From ring ropes to referee gear and barricades, they were all designed as per the ’80s and ’90s WWE programming. Even the show was held at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum on Long Island, N.Y. Which is the same place where the inaugural Saturday Night’s Main Event took place in May 1985.
WWE Undisputed Champion Cody Rhodes main-evented the show as he successfully defended his championship against his once-upon-time friend Kevin Owens. The show also featured a bunch of other matches as well.
The matches in the show were all around 10 to 12 minutes on average. I think it’s hard to say that a show with a pretty normal match card can sometimes easily feel boring, but that was not the case here. Honestly, I think it was a really good PLE to conclude the year already full of bangers for WWE.
| No. | Match Card and Results for WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event XXXVII | Stipulations/ Matches Type | Matches Duration |
| 1. | Drew McIntyre def Sami Zayn via pinfall | Singles match | 10:05 |

| 4. | Chelsea Green w/ Piper Niven def Michin | WWE Women’s United States Championship – Tournament Finals | 8:05 |
| 5. | Cody Rhodes (c) def Kevin Owens | Singles match for the Undisputed WWE Championship | 12:00 |
7. WWE Survivor Series: WarGames ranking
in WWE PLEs from 2024
The Bloodline saga is the biggest storyline that is going on in the WWE right now.
After losing his crown at the WrestleMania XL. The OTC came back to reunite the OG Bloodline to stand against the new regime of Solo Sikoa. The OG Bloodline went to war against the New Bloodline with
little help from the Second City Saint CM Punk.
WWE changed the entire format of the WWE Survivor Series when the company abandoned the traditional 5 vs 5 tag-team elimination matches and introduced the WarGames matches in 2022. Now, with the passage of time WWE has been able to put matches at Survivor Series shows that really matter and have the attention of the audience. Besides the 2 WarGames matches this year, WWE also put up two more matches for the WWE United States, Intercontinental, and World Heavyweight Championship.
It’s been a 3rd in a row ever since WWE brought the WarGames to the main roster, and I think that they have been able to pull it off with perfection. The Bloodline saga was the main event for WWE Survivor Series: WarGames (2024), and it was awesome. The Women’s side was also amazing, including a new storyline angle that WWE has started to build up for Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill.
I think it is just a matter of time during the Road to WrestleMania when we are going to find out that it was Belair who attacked Cargill. This will ultimately lead to the much-needed heel turn for Belair, heading to their possible singles match at WrestleMania 41 in Vegas.
The conclusion of the WWE United States Championship match was also something that really liked to see. I think if WWE keeps on pushing this storyline between Shinsuke Nakamura and LA Knight, we might end up getting a really good match for the WWE US Championship at WrestleMania 41 or maybe before.
Overall the show was very solid, I won’t add it into the top 5 or 3 but it was still a really good show to watch.
| No. | Match Card and Results for WWE Survivor Series: WarGames 2024 | Stipulations/ Matches Type | Matches Duration |
| 1. | Rhea Ripley, Bianca Belair, Naomi, Iyo Sky, and Bayley def Nia Jax, Tiffany Stratton, Candice LeRae, Liv Morgan, and Raquel Rodriguez “The Judgment Day” via pinfall | Women’s WarGames match | 38:15 |

6. Money in the Bank 2024 ranking
in WWE PLEs from 2024
After conquering the OG Tribal Chief at WrestleMania XL, Rhodes along with Orton and Owens clashed with the new regime of Sikoa which stood victorious. Punk and McIntyre’s story also progressed after Punk cost McIntyre his money in the back contract which he had won earlier on the show.
This year’s Money in the Bank was one of the most heartbreaking WWE PLEs from 2024. The show was jam-packed with moments that left fans with their minds blown away. The show kicked off very well, with McIntyre winning the Men’s Money in the Bank ladder match just as I already expected. But the moment when John Cena came out with “The Last Time Is Now” Rally Towel in his hands, Man I felt tears in my eyes.
I knew the time was approaching for the legend to hang up the boots, but I was just now ready for it yet, and believe many of the other wrestling fans felt the same.
The overall show was amazing. Tiffany Stratton winning the Women’s Money in the Bank ladder match was really incredible to see. I had already picked her during my Pre-Show article.
WWE also took the McIntyre and Punk’s rivalry to a whole new level after Punk cost both McIntyre & Rollins a shot at the World Heavyweight Championship. The interface from Punk then led to a devastating rivalry with McIntyre over the year. This interference from Punk also cost Rollins the opportunity to challenge for the World Heavyweight Championship as long as Damian Priest was the champion.

5. WWE Royal Rumble 2024 ranking
in WWE PLEs from 2024
WWE Royal Rumble was a classic this year, Bayley punched her ticket to WrestleMania along with Cody Rhodes who became the 4th man in the history of WWE to win the Rumble back-to-back.
WWE Royal Rumble is always an exciting and mysterious event for the WWE and this year was also no different. The show kicked off with the Women’s Royal Rumble match. The match was won by Bayley who outlasted an hour and three minutes and three seconds in the match — the most time ever spent by any woman in the history of WWE. Cody Rhodes emerged victorious on the men’s side of things, becoming the fourth WWE Superstar in history to win the Royal Rumble back-to-back.
The show also featured a Fatal four-way match for the Undisputed WWE Championship along with a singles bout for the WWE United States Championship. This year’s Royal Rumble was not filled with big surprises or any kind of major return besides a surprise entrant of Jordynne Grace from TNA.
| No. | Match Card and Results for WWE Royal Rumble 2024 | Stipulations/ Matches Type | Matches Duration |

4. WWE SummerSlam 2024 ranking
in WWE PLEs from 2024
WWE SummerSlam 2024 marked the return of The OTC Roman Reigns after he lost his crown at the WrestleMania XL. Both King and Queen of the Ring winners got their shot at the WWE Women’s
Championship and World Heavyweight Championship.
In the recent few years, WWE has been trying to push the WWE SummerSlam PLE to match the importance of WrestleMania. WWE has even started booking the same stadiums for their shows starting with the Allegiant Stadium in 2021 which will be hosting the WrestleMania 41 next year. The Company began booking matches for the SummerSlam 2024 since King and Queen of the Ring 2024.
WWE announced that the winners of both King and Queen of the Ring tournaments will get a shot at the world championship of their respective brand at SummerSlam 2024, similar to what happens in the WWE RoyalRumble. The show kicked off with a match between Rhea Ripley and Liv Morgan for the Women’s World Championship. “Dirty” Dominik Mysterio who was the boyfriend of Rhea Ripley on WWE TV, betrayed her during the match and helped Morgan retain her championship. Mysterio even kissed Morgan right in front of Ripley after costing her the match, which was one of the most jaw-dropping moments in all of WWE PLEs from 2024.
The King and Queen of the Ring winners also got their shots at the WWE World Heavyweight Championship and WWE Women’s World Championship. Nia Jax defeated Bayley to become the new Womens Champion. Gunther also defeated Damian Priest to become the new WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Finn Bálor who was the friend of Damian Priest in The Judgement Day, betrayed him during the match — costing him his World Heavyweight Championship and kicking him out of the faction along with Reha Ripley.
CM Punk also faced Drew McIntyre in a singles match with Seth “Freakin” Rollins as the special guest referee. McIntyre attacked during their rivalry and stole his bracelet which had the names of his wife and dog written on it.
During their match, McIntyre accidentally dropped the bracelet on the mat, which was later picked by Rollins — who had no intention of stealing and was just doing his referee job, keeping the mat cleared. Punk got into an argument with Rollins, which allowed McIntyre to attack from behind the back.
Punk once again got into an argument with Rollins, delivering him a GTS. This allowed McIntyre to hit Punk with a low blow and Claymore Kick to win the match. This was the first of three matches during the Punk and McIntyre rivalry.
WWE SummerSlam 2024 also featured a “Bloodline Rules” match between Cody Rhodes and Solo Sikoa. Rhodes won the match after Roman Reigns made his return to WWE since he lost his Undisputed WWE Championship to Cody Rhode at WrestleMania XL.
This year WWE SummerSlam was epic in every single way, setting more new feudes that will now go on till WrestleMania 41. Including a Tribal Combat match between Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa for the Raw debut on Netflix in Jan 2025.

3. WWE Bad Blood 2024 ranking
in WWE PLEs from 2024
After 20 years, WWE Bad Blood finally returned and delivered everything that the fans have been asking for so long. Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes teamed up against the New Bloodline of Solo Siko in a tag team match. While Drew McIntyre and CM Punk stole the whole damn show with their Hell in a Cell match. The show also featured the return of The Final Boss “The Rock”.
This year on October 5, 2024, WWE Universe saw the comeback of WWE Bad Blood PLE after 20 years to the date when it was last held on June 13, 2004. WWE Bad Blood 2024 PLE featured some of the best matches of the year along with the return of The Final Boss “The Rock”. The Hell in a Cell match between CM Punk and McIntyre was the first match of the show without a doubt one the best matches of the entire year.
The show featured matches for both the WWE Women’s Championship and the Women’s World Championship as Nia Jax defeated Bayley, and Liv Morgan defeated Rhea Ripley for their respective championships. During the Morgan vs Ripley match, Dominik Mysterio was hung up in a shark cage so he could not interfere in the match. During the match, Mysterio hung up with one leg from the shark cage as he was trying to help out his new girlfriend Liv Morgan. Ripley took the opportunity and attacked Dominik Mysterio with the Kendo stick as was hung with one leg, turning him into a Piñata. Ripley won the match via DQ due to an interference by Raquel Rodriguez, but Morgan retained her Championship.
In the main event of the show, Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes emerged victorious against Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu after Jimmy Uso made his return. Jimmy took out both Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa on the ringside, allowing Reigns to pick up the win.
WWE Bad Blood 2024 also saw the return of “The Final Boss” who was not seen since the Raw after WrestleMania XL.

2. WWE Backlash France (2024) ranking
in WWE PLEs from 2024
WWE Backlash France was a blockbuster in disguise. The fans in France took the show to a magnitude that no one has even thought about. The match card for the show was pretty normal but it was the French fans that made it downright legendary.
WWE has built a tradition of hosting WWE Backlash right after the WrestleMania for the last 4 years now. This year WWE went international with the show, taking it to Lyon, France. The show is known for having one of the best crowds in the history of WWE. Earlier in this article I talked about how WWE built some epic matches for the PLE’s this year. Heading into the Backlash France, the match card was not so crazy I would say. We finally got to see a dream match for many as Cody Rhodes successfully defended his newly won Undisputed WWE Championship against AJ Styles.
The show kicked off with a banger, as Solo Sikoa and Tama Tonga went toe to toe with Randy Orton and Kevin Owens. The match was set to be contested under the normal tag team rules, but SmackDown‘s GM Nick Aldis converted it into a Tag team Street Fight after all men started brawling with each other before the match even started. The New Bloodline of Solo Sikoa along with Tama Tonga emerged victorious after Tanga Loa made his WWE debut helping them best Ownes and Orton.
The show also had a triple threat match for the WWE Women’s Championship where Bayley successfully defended her newly won championship. Jey Uso also challenged Damian Priest for the World Heavyweight Championship but fell short due to the constant interference by Finn Bálor and JD McDonagh.
A Women’s Tag Team Championship also took place on the show where Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill def Asuka and Kairi Sane to become the new champions.
The main event of WWE Backlash France (2024) featured an Undisputed WWE Championship between the challenger Aj Sryles and the champion Cody Rhodes. Both Rhodes and Styles tore down the house with their incredible encounter. Rhodes ultimately defeated Styles to continue his run as the Undisputed WWE Champion.
Ever since the show took place earlier this, it is often regarded as the show with one of the best crowds in the history of WWE. This is also one of the factors why I have placed this show as the second-best in the WWE PLEs from 2024.

1. WWE WrestleMania XL
The two-night extravaganza of WrestleMania XL was without a doubt the best WWE PLE in the last few years. The show had everything. After such a long time WWE decided to do a show — exactly how WWE Fans wanted. The show had a lot of great moments. But, what happened during the main event on the Night 2 of WrestleMania was something no one saw coming. WWE delivered a one of its kind WrestleMania that will be remembered forever.
We have now reached the pinnacle of sports and entertainment. This year WrestleMania 40 was easily without a shadow of a doubt the best of them all from WWE PLE’s from 2024. The two-night extravaganza featured 14 total matches, with 7 on each night.
Rhea Ripley kicked off the WrestleMania XL, as she successfully defended her Women’s World Championship against Becky Lynch. Night 1 of WrestleMania XL also featured a Six-Pack Tag Team Ladder match along with a singles match between Zayn and Gunther. The Intercontinental Champion Gunther walked into the WrestleMania XL with a 666-day reign, the longest ever in the history of the Intercontinental Championship. The reign ended when Sami Zayn defeated him in the middle of the ring on the WrestleMania XL: Night 1.
The Tag team match between The Rock and Roman Reigns vs Cody Rhodes and Seth “Freakin” Rollins, was the main event of the Night 1 of WrestleMania XL. The match was won by The Rock and Roman Reigns “The Bloodline” which then led to the Bloodline Rules match on Night 2 of the WrestleMania XL.
Night 2 of WrestleMania XL began with a World Heavyweight Championship match match between Drew McIntyre and Seth “Freakin” Rollins. Rollins who had already competed on the Night 1 in a 44 mins match, lost to McIntyre. Just a few moments after that, Damian Priest cashed in his Money in the Bank contract after Punk took out McIntyre to become the World Heavyweight Champion. Priest also become the second-only person to cash in at the WrestleMania. Before this Rollins only had this accolade in his resume after he successfully cashed in during the main event of WrestleMania 31 in March 2015.
The Night 2 of WrestleMania XL also had a Triple threat match for the WWE United States Championship along with a Philadelphia Street Fight. “2024 Womens Royal Rumble Winner” Bayley was second last on the card during night 2 when she defeated her former friend from Iyo Sky from the Damage Ctrl.
The main of WrestleMania XL was the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship match between Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns. The match was contested under the Bloodline Rules as Rhodes and Rollins had lost the tag team match against Reigns and The Rock on night 1.
Cody Rhodes defeated Roman Reigns to finish his story and become the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion. The match was filled with excitement, long-term storytelling, and the best surprise appearances in the history of WWE. John Cena, Undertaker, and Jey Uso all came out to help Rhodes against the Bloodline. Seth Rollins who had already competed in two matches, came out with a The Shield.
This year WrestleMania was of the best if not the best ever in the history of WWE. The main event of the night is surely going to be remembered and talked about for the ages to come. My Thoughts on all the WWE PLEs from 2024
2024 has certainly been a big year for WWE. The company went on to deliver some of the best PLEs in the history of WWE. It clearly looks as if the company has changed the landscape under the new regime of Triple H and Endeavor /TKO Group Holdings Inc.
Let me know what was your favorite show out of all the WWE PLEs from 2024. Also, do let me know your favorite match from the entire year, I personally loved Roman Reigns Vs Cody Rhodes II from WrestleMania XL: Night 2.
That’s all from me on WWE PLEs from 2024 folks.
